I have been in many long-term care homes from volunteering to having several relatives in various homes. My Mom is in Union Villa and it's the best I've seen yet. Staff seems to stay for a long time, which is always a good sign. The rec staff is amazing and all the staff members treat the residents with love and respect. I used to say kill me before you put me in a home" but I'd consider Union Villa if it ever comes to that."

Horrendous treatment of residents on the behavior wing. I have never seen, (or imagined in my worst nightmare), anything like it. The staff are indifferent, completely uncaring. They have no respect for the residents. Residents have no dignity. Avoid this place for your loved one.

My father has been a resident client here for approximately two years. I can finally feel my stress level and guilt start to subside. Even before the pandemic, it wasn’t possible to visit daily or as frequently as I would have liked, as I live about 100kms away. The care my father receives is exceptional. Each of the nurses, RNPs and PSWs are out of this world phenomenal. They never stop. They are tireless in their efforts to provide care, comfort, compassion, and dignity to all of their clients. They continuously attend to resident cleanliness and hygiene, and they always have time for a kind word of encouragement, a smile, or a loving gesture toward the often slightly lost or disoriented seniors. The attitude and energy of the caregivers is contagious and they support each other to keep energy and spirits alive. I am grateful beyond words for the staff. I am grateful knowing that in my absence, due to visitation restrictions, my father is experiencing the best possible quality of life until it is his time to leave us.

Union Villa is a great place to have your beloved one live at. The building is fairly new with lots of big windows. It is neat, always clean and fresh. You often see fresh flowers at every corner. The activities and services provided are more than excellent. And above all the staff is incredibly delightful. They are extremely friendly, very professional, and helpful. They respond promptly to your concerns and are very compassionate. I have watched them treating their residence with love and care all the time. I would recommend this place 100%.

The staff here are amazing! My Mom is in Victoria Square and much of the staff have been the same for the 13 yrs she's been there.The staff engage with their clients and truly give compassionate care and have excellent assessment skills.They are very prompt in reporting changes in condition and treatment is prompt.Excellent communication between staff and family. Food is excellent and the facility is kept spotlessly cleanTheir infection control procedures were carried out extremely well and minimized residents exposure to Covid forwhich we are extremely grateful.Also their Activation staff have been consistently excellent even before they had to add virtual appointments to their duties.!

I did my placement at Union Villa. My mentors, Sophia and Josephine are great. They teach me a lot, treated me well and are patient with me in my learning process. There is teamwork and they are supportive and caring people. Union Villa is a great place for staff and residents. Thank you Union Villa.

Union Villa is a long-term care facility with capacity to accommodate 160 residents in single and double rooms in a three storey building.Their staff provides compassionate caregiving to the residents. The interior space is clean and well-maintained.A variety of activities and programs are utilzied to keep residences and their family engaged and connected.
