Excellent senior living community with round the clock care and a feel of home away from home. The staff are well-trained and utilize their top-notch skills to ensure residents have a good day to day experience. Will definitely recommend!

The staff have treated my family member well. They have ample opportunities for entertainment/ activities. The facility is clean and comfortable. Food choices could be better.

My mom has been here for over a year in memory care and my dad just moved in to independent living. Our family has had years of interaction with several seniors facilities. Brightwater is easily the best that we've been involved with, private or public. The care has been excellent, food is very good and the facility is wonderful. The only short comings to date are food portion sizes are a bit small for healthy seniors and senior staff can be a bit difficult to get a hold of if there are issues to address.

I can't say how great this place is, I've never been allowed in. I have only one vaccine shot. I do love that it is fairly new. My Dad raves about it. As for the care. Again, can't say. At pioneer workers there would help him call family. Here no. I'd love for him to come home.

BrightWater Senior Living is an excellent Longterm Care facility. It is well equipped for residents who are unable to remain in their own home because of special care needs. Each resident has an individual apartment with big picture windows overlooking green space, a kitchen equipped with fridge, sink and microwave as well as a spacious bedroom with a hospital bed and a private bathroom with a roomy shower. The care aids, nurses, and medicine dispensers are well acquainted with each resident and they work hard to meet their needs and help them settle in their home away from home. The recreation staff provide a diverse program aimed at keeping all residents involved and as active as possible in the BWSL Community. The kitchen staff provide fresh baking for the bistro on the main floor as well as supplying nutritious meals accompanied by soup at lunch time and salad at supper time in the different dining rooms. The Recreation Staff arrange for musical entertainment on a monthly basis. Jack Semple, The Amigos, and Jerry and the Attrics, just to name a few. Music is welcomed by most residents who can often be seen singing along or tapping their feet. Weekly Happy Hour and monthly birthday parties are well organized. BWSL has a gym, movie theatre, as well as a good supply of books and games. LifeSmart is the on-site pharmacy. My husband has been a resident in BWSL for over a year. It is a good home away from home, with staff and the necessary specialized equipment to make one’s life as enjoyable as possible.

If I could have added zero stars I think I would have! I can not believe how bad this place has gotten over the past months. The staff is so unbelievably under trained and soooo don’t know how to handle themselves with these elderly residents. Not to mention the poor management team and new director, Mackenzie. I’m not quite sure why the old one is gone but I can tell you something needs to happen there, because it’s going down, fast! I hope things change. It’s sad.

This place only gets a 1 because of the coffee bistro and 1 employee who seems to care. My dear one had no other options due to SHA pulling her out of a wonderful place, Pioneer Village. Deemed too high in needs for PV to handle and the only option to keep in the city. Due to the shortage of beds SHA has contracted with Brightwater. Brightwater has no regard for the resident, only the bottom line. Staff are poorly trained, uncommunicative, nutrition poor and portions skimpy. At least for my dear one. Lunch often very late, clothes lost in laundry or misplaced, and resident left in bed for about 18 hours a day without the sheepskin provided. On 1 particular visit my dear one had messed herself and they were just getting her up and cleaning her at noon. It was apparent she had been laying in this mess for awhile.

Can't speak about the accommodations but I called twice, left messages, emailed with questions and not a single response. Poor service which could potentially speak to how things are run. Have chosen a different facility with so far amazing customer service.

My grandmother is a resident at Brightwater and after they hired a new Executive Director everything has fallen apart. They wrongfully dismissed the only manager that actually cared about the residents. The management is absolutely terrible and do nothing for the people who live there.
