We have been very happy living at the Oaks and Strand Development has been great to deal with. We have dealt with other companies and Strand has been the first one to treat us professionally and with high standards. Kris from Strand has been amazing and made moving in a breeze.The Oaks Building is beautiful and we love using the gym! The parking is very safe and secure and the storage units are spacious. It was important for us to find a building that was pet friendly and we have definitely found that! We love seeing all the cats and dogs in the building! :-) We feel right at home here!

We have been renting an apartment at the Columbia for over a year bow and have been very happy with Strand. The building is professionally managed and this is one of the very few rentals in Vancouver that allows pets. Definitely recommend to anybody currently on the market

I am a resident at the Oaks, and I must say I am really impressed with the quality of the building, and the customer service by the Strand! My unit is a 1 bed +den unit, and it is very spacious (over 600 sq ft), which is very hard to find for new buildings. The layout is also efficiently designed. I also like that the kitchen has a lot of storage space, and the cupboards and counter-tops are deep enough. I also love the fact that both the interior of the units and the building public areas have a clean and warm design and ambience. In terms of sound, I would have thought it will be quite noisy living in a wood-frame building, but I haven't noticed much noise travelling from neighbours (it might be good sound insulation, or maybe i have good neighbours, not sure). The gym is also very nice and well equipped.Every staff I have come across at the Strand has been very friendly, helpful and efficient. From the move in process, to responding to checkups of small issues in the unit, so far every person I dealt with were so pleasant and helpful.I would highly recommend the Strand !

I recently moved into Kits Walk, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. A few noticeable touches on the design side has made this a great building to live in, the ceiling height giving the space a feeling of openness and grandeur, the bedroom closets abut the bathroom minimizing noise transfer, ample storage which is rare to find, and FULL SIZE washer/dryer. But what really sets this building apart is the excellent property management provided by Kris. He is always available and goes above and beyond to ensure that our experience here is exceptional. Thank you to Strand for creating such a beautiful and well-managed building, and a special thanks to Kris for his outstanding service.

I simply LOVE Strand. I have been a long time renter in Vancouver, having rented many different types of buildings and Strand has completely changed my mind about renting long term.The buildings are impeccable and very well made and maintained - which is very rare for rental properties. I have been in two different Strand Properties - Kits Walk which was a wonderful building and now The Columbia. Both units have been an amazing treat to call home.But in addition to the beautiful buildings and apartments, I have to say working with Kris, the Property Manager, has been above and beyond. He is quick to respond, attentive, and is very good at what he does. When I was looking for a new unit to move into, he made the process seamless, straightforward, and easy (Again, a rarity in the Vancouver rental market). Thank you Kris and Strand for being a gem in the Vancouver housing industry - us renters are so appreciative!

Strand only cares about money. Their building the Victoria has been poorly managed since it has been built. They have switched management companies twice in my time and I ve had 3 different property managers each one has been a nightmare. Things don't get fixed, the units are dirty when moving in and the property management company Devon are liars, intimidate people, and gaslight to protect their wrong doings. I've requested to speak with someone directly from strand and no one will contact me and proper contact won't be given. Devon properties has made my life a nightmare and Strands refusal to speak to me and make it right is beyond. It's really frustrating that a company who claims to be built on integrity and honesty has a company like Devon representing them, has let the Victoria fall through the cracks since being built and genuinely don't care about the people who line their very deep pockets.

Response* Really?!?! Lying and refusing to do the proper walk through with the police after harassing and intimidating myself and my movers. Refusing to give me a copy of the move in walk through with the prior property manager to compare any damages recorded previously. Lying on the move out report and saying there are damages and it wasn't cleaned even though I have receipts from the cleaner and 40 pictures of the unit from the day I vacated. Filing with a collection agency even though in 4 separate emails I requested to make a payment plan on the arrears and filing the order as final yet its still in court. Charging for a parking spot that was never assigned, not doing repairs, the unit was dirty with food still in the fridge when I moved in but yet you are trying to charge me for cleaning and I had it professionally cleaned. You need to stop taking advantage of people. Money owes is money owed but lying to get more is whole other thing and you are using people who are in a bad sitiation to try to get even more fully knowing its dishonest what you are doing. Treating people with decency, honesty, amd respect goes along way. Myself and my husband are disabled and the route you have taken will ensure that you never ever see a dime from either of us. Have a wonderful day....Karma is a real thing!Strand are the most ruthless company I have ever dealt with. They employ Devon Properties at the Victoria who are also terrible people. On my move out date the harassed me and my movers while watching the whole time. I had to return with the police the following day and they refused to meet for the inspection. They filed a claim against me for damages and cleaning when the apartment was spotless and no damage which I have proof of. They are refusing to return my deposit and trying scare me into paying more. I have arrears which they have refused to take payment for but instead fixed with two different collection agencys to try to collect twice on the arrears while matter is still in court. Every email is filed with lies and vagueness on their part to avoid taking any blame. While living there I had no parking spot which I paid for. I had numerous repairs left unfixed, the apartment was dirty when I went to move in and they told me it was my problem and I was welcome to find another place. Their Properties are poorly managed there's definitely money laundering and scamming happening, and they have been dishonest since day one. I've never dealt with such terrible people in my whole life.

We’ve been very happy with our experience with Strand/the Oaks, it was one of few options we had for a 3+Den - we have lots of space which includes two balconies - didn’t see the finished unit prior to moving in and the final product was beyond our expectations, actually expected it to be smaller but it was much more spacious than anticipated. The kitchen is amazing and all the finishes are great quality (came to the Oaks from a new build where a lot of finishes were extremely cheap so this was a bonus). The location is great for commuting and having everything you need close by as well as parks and shopping. We dealt with Kris from Strand and he was extremely responsive and professional throughout the entire process. Would definitely recommend!

We moved into the Strand Oaks development in 2022 and absolutely love our 1 bedroom. It has a lot more space than we thought and even has a full size washer/dryer. The building is well designed and its really nice to have a gym, game room and event room. Kris was great to work with in obtaining this unit. Overall we are very pleased.

We are residents at The Oaks for Strand and have to say we love living here! They have great amenities and respond to any issues that may arise in a new build, like shifting, etc. They are super fast to respond and are very professional. The building is quiet as well and all the neighbors are really friendly! In fact, we made new friends with the neighbors above us! I have no doubt it's due to their happiness as well. Hopefully they'll get WIFI in the gym and common areas soon! The team at Strand are wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone!
