We purchased some of Moorbern Farm's chicken pieces (thighs and breasts) recently and I have to say that we found them to be incredibly good. I generally do not barbecue chicken breasts as I find they tend to dry out too quickly and end up being a bit tough and tasteless. But the Moorbern Farm chicken breasts were amazing. Not only are they a very good size (one breast is enough for two people), they were juicy and succulent! So tasty. We love supporting our Nova Scotia farmers producing wonderful, home-grown food - especially when the quality is so exceptional.

I have been vegetarian for many years. I don’t dislike meat but I despise the factory farm and cannot support that business model. The animals on MoorBern farm live their best natural lives. The pigs roam the forest and the chickens are serenaded with music. It is easy to enjoy this meat knowing how they lived. The chickens are so lean and the taste is nothing like a store bought chicken. The eggs are so fresh and don’t have the smell of a store bought egg. I just cannot say enough about what Jack and Cynthia are doing. Please support responsible animal husbandry and local small business! Love MoorBern Farm.

What Cant I say about Jack and Cynthia. They love their animals, and the final product is always super tasty(I am a chef and always use their sausage for a great taste) forest raised pigs and certified free range chickens...They also have a U Pick Blueberry patch for July... Stop by for a visit get some Smoked pork Chops, Bacon, and sausage....you gotta try the donair sausage it's to die for...

The blue berries are the best and you can get fresh meats as well to take home for a great price. The owners are a lovely couple who put their hearts and souls into this farm. Highly recommend them and they have fair prices for their products. Picking blue berries is a great family outting.
