Wow! This is a gem. This place has character and charm. It is very clean and comfortable. I cannot believe this is only a two star hotel as it is far better than most in this class. Raj, who I assume is the operator, was incredibly friendly and helped book our room over the phone. When we checked in, he personally took us to our room and helped us get settled. Lots of privacy, very powerful and effective air conditioning, friendly service, the pet friendly room was impeccably clean, and parking/location was easy.We travelled during a heat wave where British Columbia hit 49.5°C and our room remained cool. The family owned operation was so welcoming despite bring overwhelmed with desperate people looking to escape the heat. There are lots of close by places to eat and is located in a very beautiful and green space around it.This place has such a nice atmosphere and my kids loved it. I will definitely stay again. My pictures don't do it justice but it is soacious, bright, and smells fresh and is kept unbelievably clean.

What a clean, adorable place! Stopped in without a reservation with all the fires going on. Raj was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! Will definitely stay again. Duvets were wonderful, sheets were clean and fresh. Normal sized coffee pot, not a one cupper! Reno's going on but never heard a thing. Love, love, love this place!!

We had stayed in this motel last year and although it is old, it seemed reasonably clean and comfortable. This time however we have decided we will not be staying there again. The cook top had the elements removed with a make shift plug installed where the elements were for a remote 2 burner cook stove to plug into. No wonder they've had a fire in the past! The shower was dirty! The bedding seemed clean but given the above mentioned items we did not feel very confident that anything had been cleaned properly.

I had read the other reviews. I'm happy with my room. It has a little kitchenette. Yes an old property. Everything clean. Nice room. I have no complaints. It was fine for a nite. I'd rent this out by the month if this was available in Alaska where I am going. Some rooms have chairs in front of them. Some rooms are Pet friendly. Make sure you let them know in advance. The fire was/is in a total separate building some time ago.

THE OWNERS ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH!We got stuck in Hope due to mudslides starting on Sunday night. Slept in our truck and when I realized we weren't going to make it home anytime soon, I booked a room here using an app on my phone. We slept in their parking lot until I saw that they were open and went to ask if there was any way we could get an early check-in. The power was out for the whole town so there was no way to check our reservation but the owner, Raj, told us to wait to see if a room opened up so we could stay, giving us hot coffee to warm us up while we waited. As soon as a room became available they cleaned it and let us move in right away. The power was still out for most of the day and into the evening so Raj and his family prepared food using their barbecue grill for the whole motel - did not even ask for money, just wanted to make sure everyone was fed. After they fed their guests they went looking for other people who might need food.During our stay, Raj and his family were so kind and accommodating, always checking up on us, giving us updates on the roads, and greeting us with a smile when we came to ask for something. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were so grateful to have shelter let alone a kitchenette so we could prepare our own food. The circumstances for our stay weren't great but Raj and his family, plus the people of this picture-perfect little town made us feel welcome and their generosity and hospitality warmed my heart. The name Hope is perfect because that's just what I felt - hope for humanity after all.Thank you Raj, Shashi, and family. We carry you in our hearts and wish you many blessings.

In desperation, travelers to B.C. during these strange times, find very few options when they're out on the road. That's why it's sad when they're charged five star prices for a one star venue. The door knob to our first assigned room dropped off in my hand. The response was, If you would like a refund I understand." The management knows the desperation for accommodation. How do you have a choice to move on? Lol To top it off

While traveling home our vehicle broke down. While waiting for BCAA we searched for a reasonably priced hotel. We called and booked a room. The owner was very accommodating, as we did not know when we would arrive, as it would be late. He allowed us to drop the vehicle off in the parking lot for us to deal with in the morning. He was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel, it may be older but it has character... thank you for being there.

Stayed from Friday until Sunday . And though it was a surprise that half the motel is burned down .. not disclosed with online booking .. it was fine for our family of 9 to stay in the two rooms we did . We had 4 kids under 11 and one was autistic . So he can be a handful . When our son was having meltdowns and being disruptive we were not discriminated against or “talked to” in fact we were treated kindly and respectfully with understanding . We were outside playing on the treehouse later then we should have been but again no hostility from the owners . We made friends with another family and were able to hang out in front of the motel to watch all our children play together late into the night . There will be renovations and it should be a new place by next year . They should change the name to inn towne family motel ❤️ Is this the perfect place right now ? No . But the owners made up for the not so pretty rooms by being good people and good hosts .

My husband and I stayed here just recently from August 3rd to the 9th. It was fantastic. Raj and his wife are fabulous managers. Very friendly and professional. Rooms are very clean and the beds are so comfortable. We can't say enough about this little gem of hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's also very quite. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be a returning customer in the very near future. Thank you Raj for a fantastic holiday stay.

There was mold growing in the bathroom, called the front desk to complain and didn't get an answer. The utensils in the kitchenette have rust on them, and the room smells really weird. Other than that, the beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is amazing. Great place to bring that special someone you don't wish to see again. Over all I give it 4/10.
