Springhill Winter Park

Spent the day at The Hill with our three kids. FANTASTIC experience! Family run locally owned. Food is delicious and the staff was first class! We recommend The Hill to all Winnipeggers who want a getaway without getting away!

My son went to a birthday party where they went tubing. He had a great time, the whole place seems very busy but very well organized.

Not the most amazing hill, but it’s almost in our backyard. The instructors are great for lessons, very encouraging, and are very affordable. There’s not a whole Lotta room to sit inside if you were waiting, but the food is decent and the chairs are comfortable. A great hill to get kids started on!

Went here on karaoke night. Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was good and the drinks were cheap, what else can you ask for? :)

Wanted to take the kids for their first skiing experience. They had fun. It's on the edge of Winnipeg so you really can't expect a huge place, but for someone who doesn't want to drive for a ski experience this fits the bill.I feel it's not expensive compared to other ski hills, but at the same time its quoa small hill. Again - location, it's in Winnipeg so don't expect a huge resort. For where it is I give credit to the owners.A few things I'm not particularly happy about. Unless you're going right at opening expect getting your gear to be a hassle. Lines will easily go on and on and move at a snail pace. Can be very crowded inside.Only other suggestion I would have is rethink how the lines are at the rope pulls. Every single time you have kids cutting in line to go up (speaks volumes about the parents raising them). Maybe redesign it so these brats can't cut in line, because the staff operating it really dont care.I don't know if I'd go again simply because of how crowded it is, and the lack of regulating what patrons are doing.

Really good place to skate for first timers. Tasty food and a wide variety of beverages.Great service overall.

Service was excellent but instructions in the classes could be better and they didn't have my correct size of boot for the skis so I went a size up and could have broke my tibia. Should have just been reimbursed.

A bit of a rough start to the day, I arrived in the ticket line at 12:15, payed at 12:57. I then filled into the rentals line. 1 hour into the line, a staff member announced that they would not offer refunds while we were stuck in the long lineup. Not being impressed with the bad management and still in line, I wrote a previous 1 star review explaining the situation and advising people to not go here since the service was slow. A few minutes after posting, Vivianne, the owner of the park called me out in the crowd. She had seen my review and was not going to have it. Making a scene in the rentals area, she left me with few options. She said that if I didn’t modify/delete my previous review she would not let me stay and would fully refund me. I gave in, and deleted the review since I was there with friends. I was not impressed by the unethical practice.In regards to the actual hill and park, I enjoyed the day and had the chance to practice my snowboarding skills for the first time.When I went to return my rentals, my rental paper had been lost and took a while to retrieve. This is due to an outdated record keeping system which runs solely off of pen and paper.Springhill Winter Park has many dedicated employees and instructors. The management is a work in progress…I hope to return to Springhill Winter Park since it’s a convenient hill near the city.I also hope that this review is taken as a dose of constructive criticism, and that changes can be made.UPDATE:I’ve been permanently banned from the hill for writing this review.

Kids did 3 day winter camp, and I can't say anything bad about their experience. My kids after the first day were able to use the chairlift and tow ropes. Big shout out to the bartender, the equipment gurus and to the manager Lindsey for going above and beyond and finding someone to teach my youngest how to properly use tow rope. Facilities as are clean, and even though it was super busy there seemed to be a place to sit for parents. The ski hill is small, but is perfect to learn or spend the day on to improve your skills. We will be returning, thanks again, keep.up the good work staff.
