New Westminster Public Health Unit

Awesome staff & receptionist. Very responsive.I had been to guildford public health too and they were so pathetic. But coming to New West was a great experience.

Everytime I go to this clinic or even call the wait times are ridiculous and it appears as if no one works even there. I see people behind the desk doing nothing and no one even greeted me. I had to get their attention. Even though there were no patients waiting or walking around, I had to wait over 35 mins when I had already booked an appointment. Every time I call I have to wait over an hour. Today, wad over an hour and half even though I'm the next person in the cue. As a new resident of New Westminster, I wish there was better health service. Really missing living downtown.

Got in with an appointment within a week and the nurse was kind and friendly.

I've never had a bad experience with the staff. I'm always treated with respect and I do have to explain to many the nature of my condition, CRPS, once we get past that it's fine. Everyone has treated me well and other than some schedule conflicts it's been more than satisfactory!Given the case loads that they have, I think that they are doing a wonderful job.

I think I just lucked out and landed an appointment right away. Ms. Wendy was super attentive, understanding and caring.I hope we never see each other again, but if I do i hope it’s with Ms. Wendy.Thank you very much.

The booking or receptionist here is terrible! They called me several times about verifying my information because they thought that I was someone named Marcelle". When I called back they said that my PHN

I was accepted pretty quickly. The physician was very attentive. Splendid clinic

I don't understand why this is just not privatized. The service at this unit is absolutely horrid. They cancel appointments with no notice. If they do call, they leave a message without a name and the call back number just rings.Its unfortunate, but it seems the clinicians here want to get a pay cheque with minimal work and then the complain they are overworked. The victim mentality amongst these public healthcare workers is a disgrace to the committed generation that came before them.

One of the most unprofessional places I've ever dealt with. First they cancel my newborn's first vaccinations an hour before his appointment saying they would call us to reschedule the appointment in 7 days. Never received a call for two months. Kept getting tossed around by them with no clear answers. Took my wife reaching out to management and filing a complaint to get his appointment at Burnaby.Now they have cancelled his appointment for his 4 month vaccinations with out leaving a voicemail or following up to reschedule. My wife had to call to confirm the appointment to find out that it was cancelled.There is no excuse that a medical centre should be this unprofessional and disorganized. It shouldn't be this difficult to follow through with appointments that have been booked months in advance, pandemic or not.This is a poor excuse of a Health Clinic.

Poor communication and make I felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome as walking in people. (Young lady long hair Indian lady) I paid tax every years and I deserved to get better service from one of the government staff even walked in to ask a few questions. Thank!
