Hubby & I decided to stop here in a recent Fri evening, based on the positive food reviews. The restaurant is in a very old house, so it has that funky character to it -- high ceilings & wide baseboards, etc. Had to wash my hands before dinner -- restroom was dated but clean.At first our server seemed kind of abrupt, almost like we were interrupting her routine, but then once she got finished doing what she was doing (between getting our menus & getting our beverage order), she seemed more cheerful, but we didn't get her name.For some bizarre reason, their take-out menu is set up differently from their in-house menu... different menu items (server said all items were the same, however we couldn't find one of our dishes on the take-out menu), arranged in different order & categories -- confusing, if you want to order take-out, but can't find the name of what you had previously).Anyway, hubby chose Imperial Chicken & I chose Che-pa Beef (I think it was called?). We added a side of steamed rice and shared the mains -- there was enough leftover for our next day's lunches.The kitchen was very accommodating to my request for no onions" because of a severe intolerance I have

While the general tao's chicken only looked slightly off, the taste is so far away from what you'd expect....and not in a good way. Everything else was OK. Definitely not a place to drive out of your way for.

Have ordered a couple times now since moving to the area and it's never disappointed! Best General Tao chicken I've ever had! It's actually spicy instead of sweet ♡ will be back over and over again

We've always visited house of fong withing the 5 years we've lived in CP!My only complaint is that the combo plate #4 doesn't actually use their chow mein. It's just chop suey with dried soup noodles on top.

I have to say that the food at House Of Fong Restaurant was truly delicious. I feel that it is the best Chinese food we have ever had. My wife, my mother, and my self all had something different, and it was all so good. We all agreed the there egg rolls where by far the best. The waitress was so nice, and friendly, that we felt very comfortable there. We will be going back very soon. Especially for a pile of egg rolls. Thank you House Of Fong Restaurant.

Food is ok if you go with the single dishes. I wouldn't recommend the family platters. Too many deep fried items.

I did not enjoy my meal, Chow Mien was watery, Ribs were over done, go to Giant Tiger and get a couple frozen Chinese Meals and save your money
