This store is a refreshing new addition to Halifax. As soon as you walk through the door, it feels like you are stepping back in time. The owner is kind and they truly appreciate your business. The products are high quality and are products people use everyday. Whether you are looking for a gift, a grocery item or something to spoil yourself, you will love this charming store.

We love this place so much - It is filled with so many unique things! BEST ICECREAM ever and Best cheese too!

Cant say enough good things about this lovely shop and the people who run it. They really believe in the local community and give back every chance they can. We have been blown away by their support for our local charity, and also the amazing high quality of the goods they sell! The Lemonade General Store, located in the charming Hydrostone District of Halifax, Nova Scotia, not only offers a thoughtfully curated selection of exceptional local & international culinary items, but there you may find an exquisite silk scarf from Italy, or a lovely tweed hat from Donegal, Ireland, just to name a few.When I visited the shop for the first time, I was impressed with the variety over all. Also showcased are local & Canadian made items, in addition to books from Nova Scotian authors.Sarah the owner is lovely, she went above and beyond for us, curating lux charcuterie baskets, each crafted with a selection of international and local items tailored to each person to whom they were gifted. Sarah not only offered us free delivery within the HRM, but she also took the liberty to contact each gift recipient to ensure they were received during the busy Holiday season.I truly cannot say enough about Sarah, she is not only a supporter of local & Canadian small businesses, but also supports several community initiatives, such as Feed Nova Scotia. Sarah's passion for small business & our community, is just one more reason I shop at the Lemonade General Store.

A lot of unique items in this store, ranging from antiques to local products. They carry Tangled Gardens jams and jellies as well as some lovely food items. Love the variety. I found some old maritime bottles in here that looked really intriguing although the owner of the shop wouldn’t give me a price for any of them and said to make her an offer. I don’t like that particular brand of sales. I’m open to negotiating, but at least give an idea of what range you are looking for.
