Have been with The Personal fo many years for cars and home. Fortunately, have had limited Claims experience but well done when we did. Would certainly recommend.

Worst customer service. One agent will tell you one thing and the next, the complete opposite and you will somehow end up paying a cost for that. Called to ask why the payment was taken out of my bank account at a different date and for a different amount than was I was communicated. The response I got: this is too technical for you to understand.

Worst customer service ever, constantly have to repeat the facts to every staff and they still don’t get it. They took money out of my account illegally for a vehicle that I no longer had and they knew it.Overpriced scammers. I left within my year contract and saved over $250 a month. Had a policy on 2 vehicles until I was hit and car totalled. Price was $483 a month for 2 n then they wanted to charge $440 a month for one vehicle. Scammers all the way. Had a credit of $567.00 n I cancelled n they managed to find a way to scam more money n took $137.00 out of my bank. Not done w/these idiots, getting a lawyer! Look up CAA, I’m now paying $175 a month for the same car!

Zero effort put forth by their claims department when it comes to client service/ customer support. Communication and passage of inormation does not seem to exist either. Otherwise, reasonable preferred rates.

I was insured with them for years, at first it was good, and then I noticed my latest renewal was over $200 more per year. I investigated and noticed they had been raising my rates $200 per year for the last couple of years (I hadn't noticed). I called and inquired why, I was told very clearly it was because of the no fault accident where I was rear ended at a stop light, and they were trying to recoup some of the cost. I told them they were not allowed to do this, and he said they've always done it. I contacted the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (auto insurance) and she confirmed they should not be doing this. When I called Personal back they told me the previous person was wrong and they blamed my aging car (2015 lease) for the increase in rates, I asked to speak with underwriting department and the agent said that I could not, he asked why and I said I wanted an explanation in writing, they said they would not provide it. I then asked for the number to their legal department, he got angry and kept asking why? Why? I got frustrated and hung up, enough of the verbal abuse and rudeness. I easily found an insurance policy with another agency for $60 less per month. I would recommend you do a quick search online for free quotes, and go with any of them, as anything would be better than Personal"

Very bad company policies and poor communication.1) They require you to pay for a full year of insurance premium when paying via credit card.2) Finalizing a quote takes three weeks (14 business days) with additional information required and lots of photos of the vehicle.As opposed to other companies that can give similar pricing and get you proof of insurance within 1 business day or same day even.However, once they got back to me they were helpful and SOMEWHAT knowledgeable about the questions I was asking. Would NOT recommend, unless you can take advantage of their discounted rates.(military, public servant etc.)

This is THE WORST company I have ever dealt with. HORRIBLE customer service and WAY too overpriced. It is costing me over $400 to cancel my insurance policy, as they would not reduce the price of my policy. How are they able to charge a hundred dollars more a month than other companies???). RIDICULOUS

I have been a loyal client with the Personal for many, many years. My insurance experiences have always been incredibly positive. The friendly, understanding, and sympathetic staff, like Chan and Fasiha with me yesterday as I explained that I was moving and changing my Auto and Property insurance, was a very professional, helpful, informative and thorough conversation. If you are looking for a very good insurance company who sincerely cares for their clients and their personal needs, then I encourage you check out the Personal first and you may never go anywhere else with their exceptional client service and competitive rates.

Is there less than One Star for this Scam Company.I am on the phone with them now to Cancel my Policy after only one week and in order to close the file they are asking me for 100.88$, Here is Why?.35$, a returned payment because I did not call them to Cancel.I informed them I was out of the Country and Just arrived 2 weeks ago, the answer was It is your responsibility".45$ Cancellation Fee
