This museum was fantastic! I had only heard of it, but it was so cool and really reasonably priced for museums. The glass flower collection they have is insane and one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. They had some interactive portions for kids. Would highly recommend!..just note that there isn’t really “public parking” near by. So just plan in advance for that.

Surprisingly good natural history museum. I had been to the big one in New York City a month earlier, and this one holds its own against that giant museum. Great collection of taxidermy animals and insects, an even better collection of minerals (especially meteorites), but the star is the glass plants and flowers. Truly remarkable workmanship and realism. Definitely worth seeing, and it all fits on one large floor. So glad I went.

So much interesting stuff!! I loved thr geological time line in the rock room. The kids were fascinated by everything, especially the whales. My only complaint is that parking was terrible

Holy smokes, what a place! Curious nerds such as myself could spend entire days just wondering these exhibits. They have an impressive collection of fossils stretching back millions of years. There's a menagerie of taxidermy. And don't forget the cultural artifacts, gems, and glass flowers. There's too much to describe, but it's all fascinating. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ticket prices are a steal. It seemed consistently crowded in the main entrance and gift shop area, but the rest of the museum is big enough for personal space while admiring dino bones and hand axes. A parking garage is the only reasonable option if driving.

Our one and only full day to explore Boston and it remained the entire day. This was a great mission for my preteen and teen boys that love animals and gemstones. The gemstone collection is well displayed and quite expansive. My oldest son loved all the cats and my youngest really enjoyed the lemurs. We live in Washington DC so it’s always a wake up call to pay for a museum when we visit other cities. The admission was relatively cheap compared to other museums in the Boston area. The gist shop was okay but did not have a wide variety of items.

What a great place to spend a couple of hours. This museum is located on Harvard’s campus and has an amazing collection of items. The most impressive I didn’t get a photo of which is the flora exhibit from glass. Thousands of floral reproductions made by hand of glass. Truly impressive and incredible.Standing next to all the life size taxidermy animals give some perspective of humans size. Fun for everyone.

The museum entry is cheap (15/adults) and there is so much to see! The museum is clean and well organized. There’s no wait to go inside and a gift shop is in the museum. There were 2 special expositions when I went (flowers and sharks). Other than that, there’s the mineral/rock section, the animal section and the dinosaur one! Highly recommend this museum !

Such a great museum with so many interesting exhibits. I would highly recommend the minerals exhibit and the Glass Flowers exhibit. Admission is not too expensive, and when we went during the middle of the day on Saturday there were a good amount of people there, but the exhibits themselves weren’t overly crowded.

Great spotThe museum houses a vast collection of specimens, from dinosaurs to meteorites to glass flowers. The exhibits are well-curated and informative, and there are plenty of interactive elements to keep kids engaged. One of the highlights of the museum is the Glass Flowers exhibit. This collection of flowers and plants, all made of hand-blown glass, is simply stunning. The flowers are incredibly lifelike, and the exhibit is a feast for the eyes.Another popular exhibit is the Dinosaur Hall. This hall features a number of dinosaur skeletons, including a Tyrannosaurus rex and a Triceratops. The skeletons are incredibly well-preserved, and they give visitors a glimpse into the world of dinosaurs.

This museum has so many interesting things to see and learn about! There are many specimens of animals, insects and rocks, as well as a room of blown glass plants complete with the artist's workbench. There are a couple live animals in the arthropods room. There are educational programs to engage young minds as well as interactive exhibits. There was a short wait to get in, but plenty of room in the museum to explore. Recommend packing light, they do have a coat check and locker area but the museum was rather toasty especially in the flower room. Don't forget to take advantage of free admission into the connected Peabody museum!
