Wildlings Resort

I had the pleasure of experiencing this off-grid resort while visiting some family who'd spent 5 days vacationing here. We camped in a tent overnight.The property now has new owners and they're beginning to update the cabins; I believe there are 8 along with a larger bungalow (accommodating anywhere from 2-6+ guests). They are rustic and cozy and I'm eager to see the direction the new owners take the space!Amenities were great; 2 full functioning bathrooms and a shower with additional outhouses stationed throughout the property so each cabin is accessible.The property is positioned right next to Surrey Lake and there is plenty of wildlife (cows, deer, bears, birds and fish, as well as pigs and more) to see and experience while there. Unfortunately, it's near the coquihalla highway which may prove extra challenging for light sleepers. The views are beautiful; we watched an eagle diving for fish while enjoying coffees on the deck mid morning. There are trails along the lake to for hiking, biking and kayaking/SUP/canoeing would all be lovely on the lake. If you contact the ahead of time, you can also rent a reserve & boat during your stay!If you're looking for a quiet remote, off-grid experience, Wildlings Resort is an excellent option to consider.

Rustic cabins, but clean and wood stove was great. Resort is well looked after. Area is nice to explore, but can hear the hiway. Fishing was great.Beds were ok for rustic cabin. The couch in the cabin desperately needs replacement, and kitchen could use some bigger coffee mugs, colander and basic salt, pepper, sugar. Outdoor furniture would be appreciated as well on the porch. We had a fire pit outside but no picnic table or anywhere to sit.

Camped here last month for the first time, and can't wait to go back again! The hosts are wonderful people that did all they could to ensure that we had all we needed. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend for the whole family!The lake is also really beautiful and calm. The fishing here is pretty good, although they are smaller trout, they are good eating and we caught at least a couple fish almost every time that we went out.

Updating the reviews since the new owners took over just before COVID.Wow! What a change! You can really tell the new owners care about their resort and their guests. Lots of new improvements already and much more to come.Fishing was great and prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend

Had a great stay at Wildings. Five grandkids between 4-10 years old with three dads and one grandpa shared two cabins. Fishing was good, the grounds were great for the kids. They loved the sheep roaming around and the playground was a nice touch!New owners have put in a lot of work to get the place looking good! They are great hosts and a pleasure to meet.Thanks for the hospitality and the memories our kids will have made!

Discovered this resort while on a Sunday drive, couldn't wait to book a cabin. Stayed the very next weekend. The owner Britt was very friendly and helpful. The canine (#6) was indeed rustic, but clean and well stocked with dishes and wood for the wood stove.Used one of the boats for fishing. Lost of fish in the lake. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a rustic retreat.

This place is absolutely amazing. We just finished our first family trip here and can’t say enough good things about the facility and the host Brett and Stephanie. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful get away, can’t wait to come back for a winter visit.

Wildlings Resort at Surrey Lake is a hidden gem!!! If you’re looking for a quiet, rustic getaway this is the place for you. The lake is stunning and great for fisher people. They have a supply of boats, paddle boards, and pedal boats for guests to use, not to mention life jackets! My kids loved playing in and around the lake.The owners are so kind and attentive, they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. They are currently doing some upgrades but this doesn’t affect the enjoyment of your stay at all!The cabins are very clean and quaint, have everything that you need for a camping type experience.I can’t wait to return with my family to this awesome place, I’m hoping I’ve found a new annual camping spot!

Great place and loc, we didn't really stay long enough to enjoy it. Found it quite expensive as we only stopped over. Great facilities, kitchenette etc. Hot water seemed to only run like warm after first shower. No WiFi as was stated (even given the password) which was real pain for us.

Great place to bring the whole family and escape the city. We have visited Wildlings over the past 2 summers and have loved our stay. We just booked again for this summer. The hosts are fabulous and go above and beyond. Our toddler had a blast watching the tadpoles in the shallows of the water and seeing the horses. Highly recommend.
