Assisted me in fixing my car at a very reasonable price for a difficult fix. A problem that has been frustrating me for years was fixed in an afternoon and I am very happy with the results!

We purchased a truck from Prairie Auto with a Mechanical Fitness Assessment completed and signed by Randy at Aetna. He signed his name, declaring all was perfect mechanically. We’re from BC, so when the truck went for its BC Inspection, it was a much different story. The front end of the truck wouldn’t even come close to passing, we weren’t even allowed to drive it away from the shop. When my husband phoned Randy about it, at first he said he hadn’t seen the truck. Unfortunately Randy wasn’t smart enough, that when Lee from Prairie called Randy on his other phone, Randy set the phone down and spoke with Lee, leaving my husband privy to Randy’s side of the conversation. All of a sudden Randy remembered the vehicle and said he’d stand behind his MFA. These guys are running some sort of a deal with these MFA’s, and at the very least, Prairie Auto. Yes the RCMP and AMVIC are involved. Yes I have proof and documentation.

These guys are awesome! I've never had issues with their work and they're a great small town mechanic, with great rates.The other review for them notes that they didn't pass a BC inspection, which would imply out of province vs in province inspection. The two are totally different levels of testing AFAIK, and my understanding has always been OOP inspections are way harder to pass and have less leeway.
