Bulk Barn

I would have given six stars...but when I went in the other week, I bought a few spices, some tea and beans, and I put them in the glass jars that the store had on shelves which were a really good price. But when we went to check out, the clerk couldn't tare the weight of the jar from the weight of it's contents, so we ended up leaving with some plastic bags which is what I was hoping to avoid in the first place. However, the value was amazing. I got quite a bit of spice, some soap and a few other things for a very low price, plus the glass jars which are reusable. I'm highly impressed with the value, but I'm hoping Bulk Barn will make sure that their employees know how to tare the weight of the glass jars they provide so that my partner and I can reduce our waste and environmental impact.

I love it here - and love that I can bring my own containers! I just wish they did a regular promo for bringing your own containers (instead of just for plastic free July) and their organic selection is really lacking. But I will be back over and over again!

Lots of parking as it's in a strip mall and the #1 bus route stops right at the mall in both directions, so it's easy to get to.Lots of selection--spices, grains, candy, snacks, drinks, some supplements, all kinds of things.I like being able to take a small amount of a few things home to try them instead of having to commit to a large package [and a large price!] of something I may end up not liking.

Such a rude manager (?) at this location; she never fails. No wonder the place is always empty.

Apparently they close at 6pm since April of 2022. You'd think they would have made sure their hours on Google were accurate.

The lady who work there name Coren was sooo rude to me while shopping. I even saw her abusing the staff, yelling at them and calling them names. I don't even understand why this company would hire such a horrible person. Would never recommend stepping a foot in there.

Funny how people complain about the manager" and how "she" is so unpleasant when there is no manager at this location and hasn't been for months now. It is some of the staff with bad attitudes and poor work ethics that make some shopping experiences unpleasant."

The staff in this store is always friendly and working on something! I like shopping here but unfortunately there are items that seem to rarely be in stock.

Very disappointed with their inconsistent policy guidelines and hard nosed inflexibility of senior employee regarding reusable containers. On a previous Sunday a freezer ziplock bag was accepted as I asked when I had a hard container weighed, today they wouldn't accept the 3 reusable ziplock freezer bags that I filled. These are not their disposable single use plastic ones that they supply or just a produce one use bag from a grocery store, but a practical, designed for reuse plastic alternative and best for space utilization in a freezer. The lady at the cash however was pleasant and friendly and is much better suited in dealing with customers than the senior one.
