Brooke is an amazing photographer and a wonderful person. My family has had nothing but wonderful experiences in the three shoots we have done with her, and she has gone above and beyond our expectations every single time.

This is a challenging review to write.I was gracious and provided feedback to Brooke prior to writing my review, in hopes of avoiding the unexpected in a review posted online, but I do not believe it was well received.Her images online are stunning, we were thrilled that this is her primary career focus (often photographers have more than one line of work), and her confidence was high in the way she spoke of her work. Thus the reasons why we hired her as our photographer.Fast forward; through the year we had minimal contact in regards to our wedding - aside from planning our Engagement photos and the odd question email here or there.Engagement photos turned out great, we enjoyed the time with Brooke, and felt like wedding day would be a success.I was advised lists were not needed, despite my gut feeling that something should be outlined, and felt based on her confidence that I could trust her instruction.Overall, our wedding photos turned out to be more than we expected. That being said, there are things that bother me about our photos as well.Details were captured in a sense of decor, close up images of flowers / rings / etc, but details were missed or overlooked in some of our significantly important images (family & friend formals).Hair in peoples faces, bridal accessories obscuring faces, reflections of photographers in windows, etc.Things that I wouldn’t have been able to notice, but that should’ve been caught as the photos were taken.It was also very unfortunate that lists / requests were not made for photograph locations; Fraser River Lodge has MANY options for beautiful photos, and we only utilized 3. I feel as though had I made a request list, we could’ve attempted to capture images in additional locations - time was abundant.In response to my feedback, I do have to say Brooke attempted to rectify the situation; she reviewed my concerns, attempted to re-edit the ones that could be re-worked, and she offered another photo session in our wedding attire to capture more moments.This combined with the beauty of most of the photos we received, as well as the quantity, are the reason we rate her highly.My biggest suggestion to brides regardless of who your vendors are, is be forceful and forthright with your expectations / wants.I was trying to not come across to anyone as the “Bridezilla”, and in doing so I realize now I needed to be more aggressive in my approach.If you are paying money for services for such an important day, be sure you speak up and state what you want.

As a wedding planner I can confidently say Brooklyn is consistently one of my top recommendations to clients as a photographer. She is extremely attentive to details and will ensure everything is captured in a beautiful way on your wedding day. She is always looking for the in between moments and candid shots of the couple, guests and little details throughout the day that really help you relive the moments when looking back at the photos.

I have worked with Brooklyn both professionally and as a client, and she is seriously the best. She is very professional, her work is consistent, she has the kind of personality that makes you feel relaxed (which is great when you're having your photos taken) and has an eye for detail. She has a knack for catching those in-between moments that help to tell the whole story from your wedding day, so when you look back on your photos, you also remember how it felt. Highly recommend!

I have had the pleasure of working with Brooklyn on a couple of projects and truly love her work! Her fun personality allows you to relax which always makes photos turn out even better. The light and airy look to her photos is so beautiful and is always consistent. I look forward to working with her on many more events in the future. Highly recommended!
