As far as I know, one of the few physical stores in North America that carry Joseph Cheaney shoes. While in visiting Toronto from Detroit was able to find a great pair of new Cheaney's to replace a pair that was more than a decade old and still looked great. Absolutely worth seeking Ivor out for his immense experience, especially with English made shoes. Will be back on my next visit!

Best shoe buying experience I’ve ever had and I absolutely detest shopping for clothes and footwear. Walked in, described what I needed, they confirmed my budget, quickly went through my options, ensured everything fit well by measuring and explaining how my feet worked and then talked about maintenance and repairs for the future. Discussed future options if I liked what I bought and sent me on my way. Great high quality selection. In and out quickly.

He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the shoes in the store, and he took the time to listen to my needs and preferences.I was in the market for a pair of shoes to wear to my upcoming wedding, and Ivor went out of his way to make sure that I found the perfect pair, and he never once made me feel rushed or pressured. Ivor is extremely knowledgeable about shoes. He makes sure the shoes fit, and knows the best lasts and style for your purposes (work, casual etc).Even if you're not buying a pair, he's happy just to chat.I highly recommend this shop. Prices are fair, and the owner is friendly.

I would say the best shoe buying experience I've had. I went to various other retailers with no luck, and then stumbled upon Ivor's store.Ivor was extremely patient and prudent, in that he brought out multiple different shoes in various sizes and explained the differences between them all. I did appreciate his honesty in that I only leave the shop with a pair of shoes I loved and felt comfortable in, otherwise I should not buy them.I eventually left with a pair of Cheaney Edinburgh's and will definitely be coming back for any future shoe purchases.

I went to lodging ,went to Harry rosen, but not much luck with them.Came here and , Ivor did an incredible job in fitting me with shoes that fit me well.He definitely knows his craft and is a very knowledgeable man. And he's the only official retailer for loake in Canada.I feel the price are reasonable, I'd definitely be back again when I am shopping for new shoes.

It’s not everyday that I spend this kind of money on a pair of shoes. At this price point the bar for expertise in a retail shop should be high. It’s always surprising to walk into a store that has some pretty hefty price tags and yet the associate gets stumped after just a few simple questions. That is certainly not the case with Ivor. I think it’s safe to say he knows just as much about the crafting of his merchandise as the manufacturer. He’s not just a salesman, but an enthusiast that loves to see his clients walk out the door with a bit of knowledge about the craft. He’s patient with you and takes his time making sure you’re fit properly. Excellent experience, highly recommend.

Had an amazing experience when I came into buy a pair of Loake 1880s. Ivor was willing to have me try on shoes multiple times in order to make sure I was happy, and that I got the perfect fit. He even let me try on some shoes that were definitely out of my price range so I could experience them, which was unexpected but very appreciated. Ivor's even helped me when I've come in to ask about shoe trees, general leather care and polishing, etc.The shoes were pricey for sure, but you get very high quality shoes when you shop here, so it's well worth it. Next time I need dress shoes, I'm definitely visiting again!
