It has been wonderful working on intuitive eating with Leah. She is knowledgeable, patient, and supportive and has helped me so much on my journey to listening to my body's cues. It is such a relief to confidently say that I will never try another diet!

I've been working with Leah for about a year now and she's entirely changed my relationship with food. Seeing her has been one of the best decisions I've made. I recommend her to anyone looking for guidance and wanting to start repairing their relationship with food.

As a mom of 2 kids, who is also a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit, I thought I had done and understood all the necessary research related to age appropriate behavioral and societal milestone my children should be reaching. Research and the pediatrician were telling me to let my kids graze and snack all day if they preferred rather than engage in actual meals and that it’s unrealistic to expect a toddler to sit at a dining room table for a meal. The internet also told me it’s normal for a baby to eventually hate her highchair, so rather than deal with the fight, to let her eat on our laps or feed her as she played with toys. Following these concepts created meal time anxiety for all members involved quite quickly thus leading to fear of eating at restaurants and feeding the kids only “kid friendly” items. My husband and I had sought help before, attending a Say Goodbye to Fussy Eating class ran by the local health unit but found the information to be too generic and crowd pleasing. The wake up call when changes were imminent, came when we went on a family vacation with extended family, who were so accommodating to our children’s needs of having most meals at our condo we rented and saw we gave in to our children’s tantrums of how we cut their food (“I don’t want my muffin cut!”) or how they refused to sit at a meal for longer than 5 minutes before we followed them around the living room giving them bites of food as they explored. I met with Leah, feeling like a failure and anxious about being a mom who couldn’t enjoy meal times with her kids. Leah was an active and engaging listener, referring back to all the examples I had provided with doable solutions. She PROMISED meal times would 100% get better, and I PROMISED to be committed to trying. Leah used her background in child behavior psychology and being a dietician to treat the eating issues along with each of our children’s behaviors and temperaments as a whole. Coming from a medical background, I appreciated the sound research and science base information she provided. Within 2 days, our 2.5 year old and 14 month old were eating every meal and snack at the table. We respected their cues of letting us know they dictated the amount they ate and we became firm about them eating what we ate and the times they ate. It took only a few days for our children to realize they didn’t need to snack every 1.5 hours and that meal times 3 hours apart were the new norm. These concepts Leah instilled in us, created a reciprocal respectful relationship at meal times. After 2 weeks, I videoed the 4 of us out for lunch at a restaurant to show Leah that no one was stressed out, that everyone ate their entire meals in their chairs and that they ate the same food my husband and I did. Leah was also amazing at checking in with us and answering questions as they came up.I was not hesitant at all to provide a testimonial about the help Leah has provided us. Our children know tantrums don’t happen when running errands with us, so why did we put up with tantrums, picky eating or running around at meal times for so long?

Working with Leah has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. After years of trying to manage different diets and feeling guilty when I failed, Leah has helped me redefine my relationship with food. I was nervous to talk to anyone about my eating habits, but Leah is kind and understanding and immediately helped me feel comfortable. She's helped me learn how to listen to my body and actually be able to eat what I want when I want.

Simply put, Leah is the best in the buisness. In a world of confusing diet trends and misinformation Leah provides clear, simple, and straightforward guidance and nutrition plans. Very flexible with dietary restrictions or preferences in food, Leah will give you the no-nonsense nutritional information you need to achieve your goals (whatever they may be) and all at a very reasonable price. I've worked with In To It Nutrition for several years now and have always been impressed. Whether you're a professional athlete, or someone just starting out who wants to take the first step towards a healthier life, you won't find a better dietitian than Leah with In To It Nutrition.

I am so grateful I found Leah. She helped me work through all my stress and anxiety caused by food. I was literally at a point where I was getting abdominal spasming because of how stressed out I was over what I should be eating, when I should be eating, and how much I should be eating. She introduced intuitive eating into my life and I am so glad I followed through with the process. I can confidently say I will NEVER look to a diet plan ever again, instead I will just listen to what my body needs (which no longer sounds weird to say). Our bodies know best.
