Sadly, the restaurant no longer provides the quality or experience that Anthony Bourdain described. Perhaps our server failed to indicate to us how the items in the menu were identified as the ones cooked at our table. Nevertheless, the food is overrated; for example, only three medium sized scallops for $60, a lobster soup that had the consistency of jelly, and an overrated Caesar salad. I would like to note that every food plate arrived to our table at a lukewarm temperature instead of hot. In summary, save yourself $100 per person by visiting one of the many other restaurants in town that are rated HIGHER than Le Continental.

This place was worth the trip to Quebec. Every dish was better than the last one.I started out with the snowcrab. They gave a huge portion of food. The French onion soup was as perfect as you'd expect.My wife had the filet mignon. It was in a delicous sauce. The chefs cooked it in front of us. It smelled so good too while it was cooking.For desert, I had a berry ice cream. It hit the spot. There is always room for dessert. My wife had the creme burlee. We will definitely be back.The interior of the restaurant is rustic. I loved its design. The staff were attentive and polite. They made sure we had the best experience.

Absolutely the finest food we had all week! So flavorful & delicious! Wait staff & table-side cook were fantastic. This level of quality comes with a higher price tag, but it is utterly worth every penny. The Continental is a MUST for fine dining Quebec!

Very fancy style to the entire place, it feels like your walking into a dinner party with Jane Austen. Full waitstaff in tuxedos, rich carpet, beautiful artwork. The chef flambeed shrimp infront of us which was served with rice and carrots. Their was complimentary bread and butter which tasted fresh baked and was delicious. The shrimp was delicious too. The rice and carrots were only okay though and wanting in flavor and texture.I would definitely eat here again though. I enjoyed the shrimp and the atmosphere.

Eating here is a unique experience. The delicious food served consists of traditional French dishes expertly prepared and finished by the wait staff, which works like clockwork, in a perfectly coordinated, choreographed dance.Our waiter not only took care of us and other tables, but also cooked our steak and a sauce, which means timing the preparation and thickening of the sauce, and the perfect cooking of a steak, to the point requested, while carrying out other tasks. The coordination and collaboration with other waiters is so effortless looking that is really an amazing thing to see

Del Monaco’s who? You will not find a finer old world steak house in North America. Peter Lugers might have lost some of its charm but Le Continental is still going strong, preparing classic steaks with the most delicious french inspired sauces, cooked table side to perfection by critically acclaimed staff that served some of the original great travel and food influxes such as Anthony Bourdain. On that night we were privileged enough to share the same Chef’s as Anthony. The appetizers are not to miss as well, the Cesar salad is made from scratch table side and is the best I have had in north Amharic’s, escargot simple and delicious, beef carpaccio; thin tender and satisfying. The steak is juicy tender and cooked perfectly all next to your seat with flair. And a cherry jubilee to crown the perfect dinner. Try the Canadian wine selection you will not be disappointed. This restaurant is nice if you're looking for a very formal experience. Expect white table cloths, formal waiters, and a long wine list. The best part was that a lot of dishes are cooked or prepared at the table side, which gives you a bit of entertainment. Not cheap.

Delicious fine dining. The foie gras was my favorite part, they have 4-5 foie gras items in the menu so you can ask the waiter to clarify the differences if you’re as confused as I was. The Caesar was delicious and the escargot was as well.

A restaurant dedicated to the French cuisine. The service is very good! The food is just above average, however not impressive.The foie gras is not well treated which tasted fishy. The salad is mixed on the spot. It tasted fresh. In a word. It’s a good French restaurant.
