Delicious Mexican food! We’ve never had a bad or “meh” meal. Good sized portions for the price.SO SO much better than the other place in town.

Had lunch and ate here for the 1st time. I had chimichanga and friend had enchiladas! Service was outstanding and so was the food! I forgot to take pictures until we were almost done but I did take a few things. They have FLAN!!!! it is sooooo good! Busy but not busy enough we didn't get outstanding service! Margaritas were very good also! Guacamole is also OUTSTANDING!!!!

Went here for lunch and the food was great! Our servers were kind and respectful while also attentative to our table. The steak quesadilla was addictive. So good!

Walking in the door, great atmosphere, staff is welcoming. We were quickly greeted and seated. Drinks and food finger licking good. Joel and his team never disappoint. We will be back soon.

Simply put those were the best damn nachos I've ever had. I hate myself for eating all of pile of delectable fare but couldn't stop until gone. Kudos to you El Rio for your exemplary (a shame to call it an) appetizer. It's a meal all by itself.

We had a party of 9 that ate here. The service was great, and the food was good. The only complaint that I heard from the group was that the shrimp were overcooked. I feel it was one of the better Mexican restaurants I have eaten at lately.

Gave it a second chance. So unimpressed. Told them 5 times wanted shredded beef enchiladas, not ground beef. Picked up food and asked again, yep, it’s shredded beef. Got home and nope, it’s ground beef, sigh. And what’s with all the Chinese Five Spice and paprika that they load all their food with? Guess that’s what Stoughtonites believe Mexican food is supposed to taste like!?! Giving a star for their chips and a another star just because I don’t want to totally dis a locally owned business, but not coming back.

This is my happy place. I've tried most of the menu, drinks and food, and have never been disappointed. The owner and staff make you feel like family.
