I have had just one experience with Vartan, and unfortunately it was a terrible one. He was recommended by a family that we respect very much, and I take it that he's quite reputable and has served people in his area well since he's been in this business for a long time. Having said that, in the service business, even if you only disappoint one out of thousand customers, for that one customer, that's the only experience they will have.My wife wanted her dress modified a few days prior to Valentine's day, so we went to see Vartan and he said no problem. He noticed that my wife had a cane and walker and asked what happened. We didn't get into details but explained briefly why this was the case, and he was very sympathetic, saying things like you guys are a beautiful couple, and you don't deserve to go through hardships like this. We appreciated his comment and left his place as he said the dress will be ready for a fitting two days later. My wife called back two days later and made an appointment in the afternoon for a fitting. Since my wife is disabled and can only get around with the aid of someone, she is 100% dependent on the person driving her. She is not able to leave the house alone. Unfortunately the person helping her was running late so my wife called Vartan back to tell him that she will be running late, but not sure by how long, and that she'll keep him posted. So far she had called him twice. By the third time that she called him back, it was already 7PM, and he told her that he doesn't do business after 7PM (totally fair), which is why my wife called to ask if she can come by the next day, as her ride didn't work out that day. This is when he lost it. Below are some of the things he told my wife.-I've been waiting around all day for you!-Is it gonna be the same song and dance tomorrow?!-If you live so close, why didn't you just walk here? (my wife has spinal fractures, hence the walker and the cane).-I'm going to tell **** (the person who referred us) what kind of hell you've put me through today!-Before my wife can say anything, and after him yelling at her for about a minute, he hung up on her.When my wife told me about this, I went straight over to his house after work and asked for the dress back. He was fine with giving me the incomplete dress back, but he and his wife proceeded to tell me about how much of a pain my wife was to them today, and that I shouldn't believe anything my wife says. I simply asked for the dress, left their house and drove away without saying anything. By this point, my wife had shared this story with few other family members, and the next day, someone from our family called Vartan to confront him.He basically said that my wife's disability is not his problem, and that he doesn't care what we think because he's retired and doesn't need this business anymore.All in all, I think that Vartan is a very heartless person, and I find it disturbing that he pretended to be sympathetic when he first got our business, but when things didn't go his way, his attitude totally changed to a point where he would tell someone with back fractures to walk to his place. As for Vartan's skills, we didn't get to see his completed product, so we can't comment on it, as we pulled out of our business with him so that we don't ever need to see him again. Only thing I can comment on is our experience dealing with him and how he deals with conflict and frustration.Thanks for reading.

I called him about some pants and he said sure call me tomorrow I called the next day and said I have 1 pair I need asap and I have others as well since I lost a bit of weight. He said no problem bring it and he will see. I went to see him and he asked right away why I didn't have a babysitter for my kids. Then he said are they clean and will they sit still? My kids are very well behaved and I said they wouldn't be a problem. Then he said do they have a dad? It's the long weekend why are they not home with dad. I explained my husband works for hospital and doesn't always get long weekends off. I then asked if he wants shoes off outside and he said how clean are they? Then he said I don’t like taking customers on long weekends as I never have good experience with them...then he said you had 1 pair of pants now you come with a whole bag..but I will look at what you have...I don't feel good...you brought so much...I said it's ok just do the one pair if you can and I won't show the rest...then he said well why did bring so much then? He was rude to me, rude to my kids, rude about the work he agreed to look at in advance.. he came highly recommended and I was highly disappointed...I left and said I'll go somewhere else and then he said ok I wish you well. He didn't even bother to ask why I was leaving.
