Puppy Love Pet Care Center and The Cat's Meow

I have had a wonderful experience with Puppy Love. My rotti mix was a rescue with big reactivity to dogs. He gets so excited to stay there and with the large fenced yards can get the exercise he needs. He can hear, see and smell other dogs so that has helped him reduce dog reactiveness. I know he is happy and loved when I go away and that is why I'll keep using their services.

Cat area is in separate building away from dogs. Everything looked clean and the enclosure was a good size. Would have been nice to get a text update or a photo of how my cat was doing. Hours of operation make it easy for drop off and pickup. Priced well and will most likely use again.

I didn't stay there but my dutch shepherd was a guest for 3 nights. Grace was his handler when we arrived. He immediately imprinted and assimilated. This is the only kennel that allows k9 with reactivity or behavioral challenges. The facility is wide open with a country setting-also a sanctuary to many other animals. I would bunk in his kennel if they let me. It was such a neat warm welcoming place....I didn't want to leave. Thank you for what you do ...see you again sometime.

It was my first time leaving my Dog in boarding so it’s hard for me to compare. But the property was build on beautiful location, welcoming staff and very clean. Each dog had their own space. 20 min from town and on your way from ferry which is very convenience.

Idk, it says something to me about how a business is run when you have a positive interview, they say they will contact whether you're successful or not, and then you follow up twice and never hear from them. Low key pretty awful treatment.

I took my long-hair Persian here for a groom. It was during COVID when many groomers had been closed for months so he was a bit matted. I know it would be hard to brush it out so I asked for a shave. It was so poorly executed (see photos). He looked so ridiculous and was in poor spirits for weeks following his groom.

My husband, our dog and I drove in from out of town for a few weeks to do some last minute wedding preparations. I had done a lot of research for a kennel to board our dog during our wedding. Puppy love came recommended by another kennel as I was specifically looking for indoor/outdoor runs and no dog interaction.My dog is highly anxious and dog reactive as well as stand off-ish to strangers so I was extremely happy to hear that the dogs don’t interact.We dropped him off for a weekend for a trial before the wedding and everyone was so friendly and the grounds are beautiful. My dog instantly warmed up to the workers and was sniffing and licking them instantly. He was happy and calm when we picked him up today as well. They really seem to care about the dogs and their well being. I’m so glad we found them and will have total peace of mind leaving him here again during our wedding.

I’ve been bringing my two dogs to Puppy Love for 5+ years and both myself and my dogs have had a positive experience every time.The kennels themselves are clean, decently sized, and have both indoor and outdoor areas. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and comfortable handling all different dog temperaments. One of my dogs is male reactive, and had a great introductory experience with one of the male kennel employees.My dogs have always come home tired and happy.

Puppy Love is open to tours, this is always a good sign!This was the first time boarding our German Shepherd. He is very anxious and reactive with other dogs that get in his space. We were assured the kennel’s policy is to keep dogs, from different families, separated at all times..The staff were happy to confirm with us that that they stick to this policy 100%.Our experience was really great with all staff..very friendly and kind. The grounds and kennels were very clean and the kennel sizes for large dogs is good.Our boy came home home happy and not stressed at all. The staff, in particular Brooke, Conner, Racheal & Emily clearly show love for their work and support the ‘no dog to dog’ contact rules. We have rebooked with them, highly recommended.Thank You Puppy Love for putting our minds at ease.

I have to say that a portion of my score of 3 is based on a sense I get based on my dog's behavior when he has been picked up from there as I am not there with my dog to see of my suspicion is correct.I don't mind taking my dog there for a night or maybe a weekend, but I am not sure I could leave him there for a week or two.The facilities are well cleaned and the staff seem to care about the animals, but I just think the the dogs spend way too much time in a little 6'x6' box. Also everytime I have been there it is very noisy with the dogs barking and because of that it is a very stressful environment for my dog. I do pay extra for somebody to play with the dog, but that is such a small portion of the day.I have seen in other reviews there is a thought that the dogs are left on their own from 6 pm until 9 am which is way longer than my house dog is accustomed to being on his alone time.Ultimately, nice property, nice looking facility but a touch too stressful for my Boy to do long hauls there.
