Good church. Less parking spots. Pastor message was good. Lots of people from different backgrounds.

I love being at My-Church! They are one of a kind and fantastic at contemporizing the church. I love the fellowship, modern musicals, and remarkable messages. In these ever-changing times, the church needs to change along with it, and that's where this church has been immensely advancing. They focus on God's message and reveal the TRUTH rather than being too afraid of offending others' feelings. The truth will set you free

If you are looking for a church in Ottawa, BEWARE! They are nothing more than a cult, making volunteers endure inhumane amounts of hours of work per week without sleep or food & encouraging people to leave their jobs to do so. They prey on young people, and those new to the city. They guilt people into giving more than they can financially, and for what? They don’t even own their own building? So it’s pretty obvious where the money is going….I mean you can tell just by looking at the “Pastors” in their designer clothes and million dollar house. I use the term “pastors” lightly for many reasons including that true pastors are called to be “humble servants of the lord” of which these two certainly are not. Their sermons are full of feel-good sayings and heresy. The Bible is not a “feel-good” book, as it teaches that we are all born sinful and need both the law and gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in order to sustain us and that it is through the Holy Spirit alone that we are saved. Also, the name “MyChurch” should be an immediate red flag, as any church that claims to be anyone’s other than the House of the Lord is not doctrinally sound. They worship sin, plain and simple. I pray for all those still involved, and congratulate those who have been able to get out of this cult.

Very abusive and toxic church, especially being part of the leadership teams. I myself have dealt with certain people who were very manipulative.I see all the negative comments and unfortunately they are all true. The pastors & those on the leadership team need to be held accountable for the abuse and manipulation they caused many people - of which who left the church and don't want any part of it anymore. Please be accountable for your actions so you can better yourself, and the church. It's all about taking responsibility, accountability and growing. I wish you well.

I attended this church for 4 years. I met some incredible people, but the leadership team treated me horrifically. I was manipulated and suffered verbal abuse. I eventually left because one of the pastors physically assaulted me. This is not a safe place.Don’t get sucked in with the hype and awesome music - my experience was that the leadership was one way on the platform, appearing to welcome you in, but another behind the scenes. I have countless specific details, but I’ll just leave this review hoping that whoever sees it will avoid this church at all costs. There are so many other great churches in Ottawa. Don’t waste your time with this one.

I had similar experiences to what people are reporting. This church will take as much as they can from you with no interest in your physical/mental health. I worked so hard and was so stressed I couldn't sleep properly. I volunteered in children's ministry at the end of 2017 for a few months and was told to work four/five days a week for the church. If you say no, they guilt trip you into doing it saying things like 1) you have to; 2) its not about you, it's about God - you're thinking about yourself and not God; 3) You have the time, you just aren't prioritizing God; 4) you have failed before and now is the time to get back on the horse and stay committed; 5) other people are doing it and they have more responsibilities than you. Caleb was so rude to those in the children's ministry and leadership; he would actually yell at them and berate them. For example, the children's ministry wrote a Christmas play in 2017 for the children. Caleb watched the play and told everyone it was terrible, it wasn't funny, it better get funnier. He then scrapped the whole thing because it wasn't funny enough. When people suggested he was being rude, his response was you've got to know where my heart is". To top it off

Amazing church to find family in Christ. Lovely pastoral staff. A place to come as you are and grow. The kids program is amazing too. Lucky to call myChurch home!

You will be easily enticed by the welcome they give you... until you stepped in to serve. When they held a service at the observatory in Algonquin College, as a volunteer, I got pulled by the arm aggressively and scolded for creating another line for giving, was called a liar by one of the pastors. When I was in the choir, we were told not to close our eyes, smile and act a certain way. I thought we were worshipping, not acting. For your sake and for your family's sake, please don't consider going here. No messages of knowing how you were without asking if you could serve. There is always some agenda hidden. You know and God knows you deliberately hurt people and don't even have the decency to reach out and ask for forgiveness and even send copied and pasted messages. I would have appreciated their gesture of addressing these issues if their so called apology wasn't scripted. Please have the decency to admit your hand in the hurt of the people who worked their assess off to build your church, but you've embarrassed, humiliated, made fun off, gossipped and hurt people you dismissed. For those reading these experiences, go visit Do better Church to read of people's experiences not just at MyChurch but other churches as well.

I understand that this is a personal experience and that’s why I’m going to share mine.My church was there for me without even knowing me,I got introduced to my church during pandemic, there was no in person services at that time,I went there once pre Covid but never went back, then during pandemic someone kept calling me, actually they were two, they were checking on me, literally just asking how I’m doing and how my days are going, believe me this was in pandemic they didn’t even know that if I’ll ever come to church or contribute to church at all, I wasn’t even part of e services but that girl kept checking on me regardless,And believe me when I say that most of the days they reached out was those days when I was feeling pretty low and needed just a word of encouragement or get to chat with someone just normal things,People will have motives on why doing certain things but I know that those guys that reached out wasn’t expecting anything in return, all I know is that they spread love and it made a huge impact in my life and I made a promise that whenever I get a chance I’ll always try to make someone feel loved and make sure to always give a hand and help next one in line when I can.what I learnt from them was more than just being in church but more of being a human. When things went back to normal I started going to mychurch in person but not for a long time as I had to live town but I will never forget how they helped me get closer to God again.Little did I know that I was about to live and I needed to meet them so they could draw me back to God as I was about to step a season of my life of growth and challenges but more than ever now I understand why I had to be part of mychurch at that certain time.Mychurch is a family church, I never felt excluded or lost cause there was always someone there to help you.Mychurch was my family at that point of my life, they made me feel loved and included, I’ll always make sure to spread love to others. And guys let’s always remember that instead of going to church thinking of what you will get from there maybe try to think what you can do to help, contribute something to church, help in all ways you can.Stay blessed❤️

These people are snobby and not nice, they make you prove yourself and you never matter if your not like them. They hang up you when your talking just when trying to explain or reason yourself to them. I definitely don't recommend this church unless your a rich person who thinks your superior to others but doesn't want to actbor show that reality
