John Knox Christian School

Our son has been attending JKCS for the past three years and is currently in grade one. We have seen over the years his growth and development in many different areas.Everyday he looks forward to going to school to see and socialize with his class mates and the teachers, they are kind, caring and compassionate towards him and each other. The teachers he has encountered from JK to grade three took the time to understand him for who he was and have been helping him to overcome challenges and also has been a part of training him up and equipping him in the way he should go.As a parent, I appreciate this because It creates a warm and inviting community for both students and parents. Therefore we have no regrets having our child being a part of the John Knox family.

My three boys have been attending John Knox since Kindergarten!! We have 2 kiddos with special needs, and have always felt supported at the school. They are always looking out for the best interest of my kids, and their success. The John Knox family has gone over and above to ensure MY family is supported and accepted. The school as a whole is very community and family oriented with Christ as the Center and education at the forefront! Best school around!

This is our first year at this school. This was a very interesting time to start a new school pandemic" and all. We are very familiar with Christian schools. We are very happy and pleased with how the school handled all the government changes for being in-person and online. The school has a great communication system set up. We were always kept informed for what's happening and what's to come. The teachers we've dealt with this year were great along with the office staff. They are all very friendly and it makes us feel like we're family.I would definitely recommend this school to my friends and family. Which we've been doing since week one."

I had a horrible experience dealing with JKCS. It was so poor that I sought legal counsel for advice. After reviewing the file, my paralegal concluded the school anticipatorily breached the contract and potentially made human rights infractions along the way.The school denied all claims but offered me over $4k+ in exchange for silence. I rejected the offer to ensure I could freely share my story with anyone considering the school.Here's what happened:The school promised a formidable remote program, but offered one that fell well below their promised one. For example, at the beginning of the program, my son received approximately 60min of instructional time/per day compared to 240min per day for in-class students. In addition, my daughter interacted with her JK teacher for about 20min a week for the first month. I'm not sure how you would feel paying full tuition for a half-baked program, but I wasn't exactly thrilled.The principal's solution to the academic gaps was for my wife and me to fill out an incredibly invasive tuition assistance form (this was the 2nd of 3 instances). As a result, it became clear that the principal had no intention of resolving the root problem - i.e. the poor service offered - she instead decided to accuse us of having unreasonable standards. She was shocked that we would question the quality of education. Furthermore, the school's proposal meant that a credit was attached to our ability to show that we were in financial need; therefore this was wholly inappropriate as a resolution.We attempted on numerous occasions to resolve the matter amicably, but the school closed the door on us entirely, they deposited just over $1k settlement" into our bank account to keep us quiet (this was a separate amount from the $4k mentioned earlier)

We made the switch to John Knox this year for our two daughters and we could not be happier. It is such a God-centered learning environment with a wonderful academic curriculum. The AR reading program is phenomenal as well. The teachers are so kind, loving, and evidently love the Lord. Very excited for our other two children to join John Knox when they get older!

John Knox is an amazing school which my children have had the privilege of attending for the past several years. It's a school community where teachers, parents, staff and students work together. The Principal and Teachers are passionate about education and very loving to the children. With smaller class sizes on average than public school this was an easy decision for our family to make. If you have a bit of curiosity, I would highly recommend you take the time and book an appointment to visit the school. Once you walk in the doors you will be in love!

My nieces attend John Knox and since they have attended this school I have seen a boost in their confidence. They are excited about school and learning which is a big difference from the public school that they were previously attending. I have toured the school and I love that the school is small and the teacher to student ratio is great. It provides more time for the teachers to appropriately assess each child's learning ability and provide the necessary tools for the child. Overall a good school and my nieces love attending.

When it was time for our daughter to attend school, it was a huge decision for us as to where to send her. As Christian parents we felt it was important to place her in an environment that would compliment the Christian principles being taught at home. Coupled that with a great teaching environment and John Knox became the best choice. Our daughter is currently in JK and will soon be going on to SK. Her teacher has been an incredible educator for her an amazing source of support for us the parents. The staff and teachers at John Knox has cared greatly for our little one and this has been such a great relief while the world is navigating life in a pandemic. The school has done a remarkable job during this pandemic keeping our children safe. We have felt comfortable every step of the past year with the decisions the school has made and the plans they implemented out of an abundance of caution and care for the kids. We are truly happy with all things John Knox Christian School related.

My wife and I were highly impressed by the Christian education provided at John Knox Christian School. Indeed, it was an answer to our prayers. Our two daughters received love and care from everybody involved at the school, from the Principal (Mrs Soultanidis) and class teachers down to the children in their classes. This pastoral care was paired with excellent teaching and educational instruction. Further, our girls had a lot of fun along the way!I highly recommend John Knox Christian School to those who are interested in providing an education for their children rich in spiritual and educational excellence.

John Knox Christian School is an excellent school for our children. All the staff and teachers are caring and professional. Communication from the school is very good where weekly updates are sent to parents with weekly look ahead. I strongly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a Christian Education for their child.
