Fair Realty: John Knox

The realtor Geoff Purdy at Fair Realty who represented the buyers of my house, was very unprofessional in his dealings with me by not responding to messages after asking the questions himself to forcing a discount on the sale that was not approved by me. Dragging out the sale for days and many sleepless night for no apparent reason. Then when I complained to John Knox about his conduct I was disrespected by him also by not getting any response except a quick email saying he is looking into it, but then nothing...who runs a business like that? Just hoping I will go away and forget about it???Very poor service that barely deserves one star, the whole situation is absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable really?! Both my parents have been realtors and my father a broker, they were beyond words with this deal!I would NOT recommend this office for any of your real estate needs!So I put in a report to the Kootenay Real Estate Board and the Real Estate Board of B.C.Now how many months later and still nothing done on their part...disgraceful I say!!!So because I put in a report with the council,Geoff Purdy actually phoned the Nelson police and a lawyer friend and tried to convince them that I was trying to extort money from him. Obviously he does not understand extortion as I already put the report into the BC Real Estate Board.And yes I was very happy with my realtor, unfortunately on her part she works for fair realty as well. I believe she is continually bullied by your establishment, even the point that you get her to text me to remove the reviews. You could not of even done that yourself? Very unprofessional I must say!As for emailing me yes you emailed me right away within minutes but then you never did anything beyond that , except to say you were looking into it?Even after your realtor threatened me with police and lawyer? Really is that how you do things?Oh and make sure to get your friends to try and bump your reviews by defending Mr Purdy.... nice one!You are nothing but a bunch of bullies!

Completely useless. Did not return my call or that of my realtor. No wonder that new development is sitting empty.

John Knox is a stellar realtor - competent and a pleasure to work with.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to cross paths with Geoff Purdy while we were looking for our first house to buy and he kindly offered to represent us along our journey. Since that point forward, he was professional, responsive, and always available for any and all questions. We were able to purchase our first home with an amazing deal negotiated on our behalf thanks to Geoff; we could not have done this without him going above and beyond. Yes, there were bumps in the road and a lot of questions given it was our first house purchase, and Geoff was always patient, professional, and responsive within minutes via phone, email, or text! Even after the deal was finalized and we took possession of our new home he was still open and available and truly continued to go out of his way for us with following up on things, etc. It is the kind of professional service that you just don't see these days, and I would (and already have) recommended Geoff Purdy as a real estate agent to any and all that ask.Thank you so much Geoff (and Fair Realty)!!!.Dr Matt Halstead

I must come to the defence of the realtor Geoff Purdy. I had my own experience with Geoff and found him to be the ultimate professional. He was immediately responsive to my needs, requests, was adaptable and went out of his way several times to ensure I found exactly what I was looking for. I found him to be up front and completely trustworthy.Not everyone is happy with their experience with all people 100% of the time and I’m sorry if you had less than a good experience Mr Cats. You do however sound more disgruntled than anything. You’ve reported to the owner and sounds like everywhere else you have recourse to report it to and “after months still nothing”. Perhaps there IS nothing? Realtors don’t usually call police and lawyers on a client so I suspect you are just one of those people who can never be made happy. Chill. I would confidently recommend Geoff Purdy as a realtor to anyone and he would get repeat business from me if the opportunity presents.
