This place is amazing for haircut and styling as well as colouring and other services. I enjoy going there as it’s near to me, as well as the services are excellent, very friendly and welcoming staff. The prices are very reasonable. I am happy to go there every time and I’m getting my haircut at this place(studio west) from last 2+ years.

Nivia keeps my hair looking good, always. I am so happy I found this salon. When I first moved to Hamilton I went to another salon and the guy gave me the worst highlights, I had to wear my hair up to go out. Since going Nivia I have had natural highlights, then thicker and a more dramatic darker low lights. Most recently she lightened my hair from the time I got engagement up until to my recent wedding, where I had the perfect blond hair. Every time I go there my hair is coloured with perfection. She keeps up to date with the industry to help accomplish my hair goals. Such as a protector during the lightening process and hair treatments after the coloring. I also really appreciate that she always fits me in and is so reliable.

If there were more than 5 stars this hair salon would get them. I am so impressed with their service, their quality and their prices. The staff is kind, courteous, knowledgeable, professional, helpful and whatever other positive attributes I could include. I would like to thank Nivia for her care of every customer. I have done my first Brazilian Keratin treatment and I am very lucky that I had choose Studio West Hair Design. The treatment is organic and formaldehyde free. They are doing a good job and taking care of your hair all the time. I have done best keratin treatment and they call me for the first shampoo and showed me how to wash an blow dry my hair. Beside being hair dresser Nivia is also a beautiful person with beautiful heart. From now on this saloon is the one place where I will go all the time.

Loved my Brazilian blowout! The treatment is organic and formaldehyde free :) Sarah did my hair treatment and she was kind, professional and thorough. My frizzy hair looks so shiny and smooth. I will definitely come back.

This place is great for hair treatments and keratin, but unfortunately I was not satisfied with my hair colouring service. I was charged $190 for a brown shade that is barely noticeable. I have black hair naturally and so I was on board with bleaching my hair in order for my hair color to lift. However, the stylist suggested not to because of the damage it could cause. I trusted her, and agreed with what she wanted to do. Unfortunately, the brown I ended up with is only a shade lighter than my natural hair, not noticeable at all, and most importantly, not what I wanted.In summary, I wouldn’t recommend this place to people with dark hair wanting to go lighter. Alternatively, I suggest having an in-person consult before your appointment so that you feel confident that your hairdresser can achieve what you want and there are no misunderstandings!

I normally don't feel compelled enough to actually write a review for something, but this salon went above and beyond. Nívia and her assistent have been my hair stylists for several years now. and I am very glad she gave me exactly what I asked for and it looks amazing. I am so happy with my colouring and cut and also the great care studio west takes with my hair. I would recommend Studio West Hair Design to anyone looking to try something new. I appreciate even more how fab the color always is! She listens to what you want and comes up with great ideas when you give her the 'I don't know what I want... I just want something different'. The team at the shop are very friendly and thoughtful and make everyone feel at home. And there's nothing better than the compliments on the cut I received from friends and coworkers having said that! I Highly recommend!

I have been there twice for keratin treatment. Eatch time results exceeded my expectations. The second time has been done by Kim. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It feels great to get the feeling that artist taking care of you. Highly recommend!!
