Mr Jerk

Was amazing.! And really v.large portion.i had oxtail and jerk chicken .rum cake was great all of them except the rum cake just didnt like the white cream on the top

Brought food for the company.. everyone loved it .. great oxtail and jerk chk ...kudos to themUpdates 1st April 2022 . Food is great quality and quantity.I wonder how the price for (half chk rice and peas went from 13.99 2weeks ago to 21 today

Since I've been working at the airport(10 years now) I've visited here quite a few times. The pork used to be amazing, consistent, flavorful, and fresh.However, since they changed ownership, it's nowhere near the same. Pork is usually dry, overcooked, tasteless, and the fact that they're weighing out the meat portion, is enough for me to turn away. They never used to do this, the original crew used to load up the container to the point where it almost couldn't close.I guess, unfortunately, all good things come to an end.I highly suggest trying Hopeton(family owned), and real authentic jerk(they barbeque the chicken out front during the summer in a drum, like they do in Jamaica) much better options, who are consistent. Both of these restaurants are right down the street from Mr.Jerk, highly worth the detour.

This place has authentic tasting stuff most of the time. So jerk chicken or pork with rice and peas with oxtail gravy.. usually (95%) of the time great. I always check how the chicken looks..I.e. if it's too dry or not well done before. I also ask for well done pork... since I don't like the fatty pieces. Again, this is where personal preference comes in. Some people like their chicken and meats tender and juicy..some like well done and dry.. so check and order to your preference. I also like their salt fish.. again..some pieces have more meat than others.. but its a great accompaniment. Love their snapper.. but I usually take it home and reheat on small oven or bbq machine..to get the extra crispiness. The customer service at this place was falling apart a few years ago.. after the original owner passed away (it wasn't great to begin with, some of the staff were plain rude all the time).. it has improved a lot with the new management. Remember..taste differs..make sure u get the stuff that falls in your palate.. there is a lot of variability in this kind of food.. bon apetit

I got the oxtail with rice and peas. I was initially pleased as the pieces seemed large and generous, however some of the meat was tough and under seasoned. The gravy was thin and seemed to consist more of oil than flavour, seasoning was definitely lacking. Considering the quality, I would say it was overpriced. The slice of sweet potato pudding was very good though.

Ok first of all the customers in line changed the line up...yes they decided to make the lineup opposite of how its been for decades even since the previous owners...it was weird and nonsense. The girl that served me was great, excellent portion of food, but then the machine broke down even before I got to the register yet still they didn't tell anyone and we had to wait to pay for our food. It was not pleasant to have to wait to pay. The dumplings were nice I didn't so much enjoy the jerk as I expected to. Great portions comparable prices bust the seasoning was a bit lacking. The whole experience was a bit lacking.

Hands down! Best Jerk chicken in the entire peel region and beyond. Been going there for over 15 years and I've been pleased %99.9 of the time...%.01 is need improvement in customer service skills for some staff. Half chicken dinner is my favorite...especially with the hot sauce. Can't find this anywhere else and trust me...I've tried. I am over an hour drive away now...but I don't mind the drive...it's worth it for me.

I'm only giving it a 4 star because I want a more fatty pork, it needs to be. Otherwise some of it is dry. Yes , complaining that it's too lean.I've been eating from that location since it opened inad its always been the best.

Delicious Jamaican dishes. I purchased festivals, fried dumplings, fried chicken, jerk chicken, and jerk pork. They were all so good. I will be visiting them again.I definitely recommend them as a a go to for authentic Jamaican flavourful dishes.
