The Cheticamp Motel

Not bad if you want to just rest and spend one night there. The room was clean but bed sheets were old and had stains on it. Overall it is a nice place to stay.

They let us bring our dogs even though, they don't normally! Had evert thing we needed, and even what we didn't! Including a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave.Beds were okay and room was quite spacious for a small place :)

Room was stuffy. Floors sloped (hard to walk straight!). Very worn down - curtain linings were falling apart. Wifi terrible - not strong enough to open websites. Overpriced.

Very disappointed....The room smelt musty. We had to open the windows to air out the room.When we opened up the refrigerator it was dirty. We seen black spots which weassumed to be mold.The bed sheets did not seem fresh and there were markings on them.I would not stay here again nor would I refer it to anyone. I have stayed in nicer placesfor less then what I paid to stay here.Date of stay was July 17, 2010 room #6.

Good stay for one night. The lady who owns the motel is very friendly. The room has all the necessities amenities of a standard motel. It’s within walking distance to a seafood restaurant. This motel is a little bit out of town but the price is good.

For the price, hosnestly it's pretty descent for the location in Cape Breton. The room we had was clean and we slept well. We enjoyed our stay there. Owner is bilingual so helps as well.

No heat in the room or hot water from the shower. The hot water from the sink worked though. Aside from that, the room was clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and I had plenty of blankets available to counter the cold in the room. I was also able to do laundry in their laundry room.

This place is terrible. It is not clean. The blanket I slept under was full of holes and tears and nearly thread bare. It was suitable for the humane society. There was a hand towel that was half threadbare, you could see through it. The fridge and stove combo was broken and rusted through at the bottom. It was musty. The smoke detector was laying on the table, batteries out. The carpet was full of holes. The edges are all ragged at the walls. The couch had two huge stains I didn't even want to think about the origin of. I had to turn it over. The floor was so dirty I didn't want to take my shoes off. I felt like I was sleeping in some abandoned house basement. It was awful. My next stop is to Canada Select to tell them their name is on this dump. The night before I slept at the beautiful Silver Dart Lodge, for less money! SO GROSS HERE. My parents were in another room, the same, broken things, gross bedding and carpet and very musty. NEVER AGAIN.

Stayed here for one night and the Motel & Motel Owners were wonderful! Such a cozy, clean motel in the perfect location. You’re close enough to all amenities yet far enough away that you can enjoy peace and quiet. The room came with a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and a Roku Smart TV. The wifi is great at this motel as well. We can’t wait to stay here on our next trip to Cheticamp!

The room was a bit overpriced..$165. And felt we were only charged that as it was fall colors October. Rooms were small...Didn't even include breakfast for that price. Owners were nice.
