I was with some fellas who really love machinery, so we went specifically to visit. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. There was heaps to see and it covered all aspects of early farm life from early settlers to late 50s items. Loved examining the early washing machines and building tools. They also had a huge collection of tractors and farm implements. Loved it. Even bought a couple of replica 'spondles' for stirring soups and porridge. Time well spent. Free, but they ask for a donation when you leave.

Interesting farm machinery museum in Langley, lots of older equipment that are fascinating and you can see the progress of machines from the grandfather era to nowadays. Run by volunteers and please support it by donations to show the appreciation.

As tourists from Toronto, BC farm museum was not on our list - we hadn’t even heard about it. But it was close to the hotel we were staying at decided to pay a visit with kids. The admission is free but you can donate (you should - it’s worth it). It’s an amazing museum not just limited to the farm but life in general over a 100 years ago. The staff were super friendly and gave us demonstrations of 100+ year old machinery like egg sorting, tomato sorting, rope making, a piano that plays itself, Maytag washing machine, 400 year old clock, old cameras etc. The scavenger hunt also kept the kids interested throughout. The museum is actually quite big and has a wide variety of farm equipment, household items, carriages and even an airplane.Overall I’m glad we came here. It’s probably not a place an average tourist would visit, but maybe after reading this review others may want to stop by this place!

Visit this if you have a chance! It’s such a huge place, with interesting historic machinery, and entry fees by donation. The volunteer, Hilary, was such a sweetheart who not only made us felt welcomed with machine demonstrations, but was also super knowledgeable! My boyfriend and I spent a good time exploring (but not limited to):- farm trucks- steam engines- egg and tomato sorter- all sorts of pioneer tools and household items

Spontaneously dropped by to take a look with my boys (3.5-8). We were greeted by a very friendly elderly man at the door; he went though what things may be of the boys' interests based on their ages; then asked if my oldest wanted to do a scavenger hunt (YES, PLS!).I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was the see! They had tons of tools and tractors, old carriages and photos etc! We spent approx. 1.5hrs there. Suggested donation was well worth it!If you haven't been, I would highly recommend it!

It's my 1st time visiting the BC Farm Museum. It was on Canada Day, and there were many special kids friendly booths outside the museum. We were greeted by a friendly volunteer at the door. Entry was by donation. The exhibits were very interesting. Unlike most museums with displayed items fenced off or enclosed, visitors could walk close by and even touch and examine the displayed items. An overall nice experience.

So much to see and do! It's too bad they're not open year round. Great place for kids to learn about farming and how things were done in the past. Wish there was more to entertain younger kids, but definitely a great experience there and we'd be happy to visit again in the future! Ps. The little tractor trikes were a big hit, but there aren't a whole lot of them so arrive early if going on family day.
