If you are looking for an absolute jewel of a town put Kaslo on your list! Soaked in history, this little mining town is worth the scenic drive from Nelson.Once you get there, check out the old paddleboat and pop into Theresa's deli for the BEST roast beef sandwiches you have EVER had!

Awesome little town with fun eateries, a brewery, some historical sites and more. If you love driving, all the roads to and from Kaslo are pretty epic.

The trails are still there but the access point and parking lot have been moved due to public pressure. The parking lot and access points are now at the west end of the airstrip. KORTS

Not much has changed but lots of changes in the Village. New homes & homes for lower income & seniors being built. Pretty soon there will be places for everyone.

Kaslo is a must stop destination when in the area. In addition to great restaurants, there are breathtaking views of Kootenay Lake, a marina just a short walk from the main street, a great meat market, local artisans, and a fine hotel.

Beautiful views from town. Several locals had at length conversations with us as we sat outside on a patio. Very authentic small town feeling.
