Vaughn Animal Services is doing fantastic work. Adopted Fran on December 23, 2021. They were super helpful and accommodating. Also the adoption fee is very reasonable at $165 for kittens/cats and they also included a bag of cat food. We met Fran in person and she was super playful and showed no signs of mistreatment or abuse during her months spent at Vaughn Animal Services.She is doing amazing in a loving home. What a bundle of joy.Also please ignore the useless bad reviews. The issue is not Vaughn Animal Services. It is the Ontario legislation. Take it up against them and not the Shelter. Not to mention the people posting the reviews are not even the ones dealing with the matter first hand. It's as if you post a review for a restaurant without ever eating there.

Such an amazing experience. Both Jacqui and Courtney were so nice and genuinely care about ensuring their adoptable pets go to good homes. We adopted our little beagle puppy from them today and are so excited and grateful to be chosen to be Grayson's (now Archie) new pet parents. Same day and he has settled in to our home like he's been here forever.

We recently adopted a cat named Layla. She had been there since she was three months old, and stayed for six months. She is amazeballs awesome, to be so well adjusted and sweet surprises and amazes me. The staff are obviously doing a great job with the animals at this shelter.

Had some problems in regards to my service dog, but they are learning and willing to navigate through the process with those of use with disabilities who require a service dog.

Adopted our cat (Buster) from this shelter last year! Very helpful staff and friendly application process. I would definitely come back!

Adopted a kitten from there. Price was very reasonable around 165$ with tax. Includes vaccinations, microchip, kitten was also spayed and they gave us about a week worth of food as well. For cats you can just drop by, however I'd recommend calling ahead if you are looking for a dog.

Staff is great, but adoption should be structured on a two week trial period to make sure pet will fit in. Otherwise, it's costly to bring a pet back if it doesn't work.

We adopted a cat from this location mid-May. Although we were warned that our kitty is nervous, she settled in very well and is very social. Good experience adopting and fees are reasonable!

They don't understand the rules regarding service animals and the need to have them leash free
