George Point Inn - Motel in Surrey

We were left without a place to stay when our Air BnB canceled us 3 hours before our arrival time. George Point Inn to the rescue! They had 1 room left. They were so friendly! The rooms are clean, the service is friendly. The bed and pillows were comfortable! We slept well. It's close enough to restaurants and stores. If we are ever back in Vancouver, Canada we would stay here again. Thank you so much!

The motel appears to have been recently renovated which was a good thing but the Queen room we had was very small. There were zero amenities in the room such as a fridge, coffee maker, or iron which wasn't a big deal to us anyway but I was still surprised by this. The shower didn't work properly so we had to take baths and the electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work either. All in all we still enjoyed our trip but our stay at the motel was a little disappointing.

Very lovely lady who greeted us. Room was clean sad there was no plug for bath tub to use the bath. Wish they were pet friendly for when I bring my dog because I would.only stay there

Stayed here for two days before moving to my new place but gotta say this place is great and clean and customer service is great by all the staff here and it’s upgraded renovated. Must check out than going to some dinky hotels in Surrey! Price is right!

Very nice place, heard it got renovated and it looks like it. 5 min walk to the bus stop and Surrey hospital, 20 min walk to the c train, beside school with soccer pitch. Very clean and tidy and the hosts are very nice. The only issue we had is the walls are thin but luckily after the first night I think our neighbours figured it out and kept things down for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend as it was economical.

When I first checked in to the George Pointe motel, I felt it was somewhat homey and clean. Unfortunately, my initial impressions quicky faded. After a few hours, I started experiencing a severe allergic reaction where my throat was swelling, and I experienced significant sinus drainage. Initially, I blamed it on the large patch of Cottonwood trees (I’m slightly allergic to Cottonwoods but have never experienced such a severe reaction). Later, I realized the air conditioning unit’s filter was dirty. After finally falling asleep, I was awakened on an almost hourly basis by people walking up and down the stairs repeatedly, people talking in the adjacent apartment, and a squeaky noise of someone rotating their body in a filled tub. I’ve never stayed anywhere in my 40+ years where everyday noises were so penetrable through the walls. The next day, I parked my car in a nearby park and took a few hours nap so I could catch up on my missed sleep. The following night, the situation worsened. My allergic reaction immediately returned once I entered the unit and the noise levels returned but in fuller force. I decided to check out around 1 am as my sleep was so affected by the dirty a/c filter and the constant invasive noise. The manager the next day told me she would attempt to refund the next night as she believed she could fill the room. She encouraged me to call at a particular time the following day. When I called at the designated time she told me to call, I spoke with a treacherous front desk clerk who was nearly unintelligible and refused to let me talk to the manager. He raised his voice while talking rapidly and indicated he will not allow a refund or credit for the night I had booked but did not stay there, although he admitted they filled my room with another person. I continued to try to reach the manager and left my number but never received a call back. Furthermore, despite their no-smoking policy, I witnessed people sitting on the curb and smoking. On a side note, I discovered this property is extremely removed from “touristy-type” amenities in the neighboring Vancouver vicinity. It’s an EXTENSIVE drive to anything cultural from this property. I have given this motel the dubious honor of being the worst motel/hotel stay in my lifetime.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Affordable and the room setup is perfect for long stays. Very cozy and comfortable.

This was the best motel I've ever stayed at. It was clean, the rooms were comfy/spacious, it had all the amenities I needed & then some. The front receptionists were also very nice.I will definitely return on my next visit to Canada.

We recently stayed for one night at the George Point Inn. It was clean, comfortable, excellent room darkening shades, good value for our money, lots of pillows. We would definitely stay here again. Staff were friendly and helpful.
