I had a might fine experience at this bar. I rarely head out to a bar, particularly on my own but I decided to do it on this visit from Vancouver. Great drinks and a super friendly bartender. I will be definitely come back on future trips.

Like what others have said, the bartenders were pretty pretentious but the drinks were good and strong and that makes up for it for me.

We had an extremely poor experience and felt discriminated against for no reason. Me and a couple of buddies went for drinks. When we got there, the place was pretty much empty. We saw a high table and sat at it - bartender said the table is for 4 and asked to sit at a regular table since he said the place will fill up pretty quickly. We saw a high table for 2 and asked to sit there instead since we preferred a high table - bartender said table is for 2, started laughing and then had a shot. We sat at the regular table thinking maybe the place really does fill up. 5 minutes later 3 people walk in and sit at the exact same high table we asked to sit on - bartender said… you guessed it, NOTHING. In the middle the sever comes to us and asks us if we want more drinks and we say we’re still thinking and he goes “yeah no worries just checking, nothing feels worse than wanting something really bad and not being able to have it”. To top it all off, we were there for over an hour and the place was still empty when we left. We’d heard great things but suffice it to say, we’re never going back again.

Normally not a fan of leaving poor reviews, but last week my friends and I came across this bar and the bartenders were super rude to us for no reason… Also my friends drink just never came and we were honestly too scared to even mention it because they were so rude to us… Shame because the spot seemed cool and maybe it was an off night, but I won’t be back.

A true neighbourhood gem. I will never turn down a chance to pop in and say hello to Mike, Will, James and all the other friendly faces. A great spot to enjoy a Boulevardier made with Signal Hill Whisky, a Crystal Head Vodka Moscow Mule or a grilled cheese sandwich ! Honestly these people are some of the good ones we should be supporting. Make sure when this lockdown ends you go down to Montauk and show support to these legends.

Had a negative experience here as part of a private event. Bartenders were extremely rude and distasteful to our group and made us feel unwelcome, despite us going to lengths to reserve the bar for a birthday party. On your birthday, you should expect to have fun, not worry about the snobby and judgmental behavior of the bartenders.Drinks were fine but ultimately the place is too overpriced for what it offers.

Took several friends to Montauk and had a lovely experience. Bartender and service were great and provided some lovely recommendations on cocktails.They don't have food but the goldfish are a nice snack to nibble on.

Anytime I find myself in Toronto I make it a priority to stop by Montauk, every drink is an experience in and of itself. The atmosphere is always on point and service is fantastic!
