The Curl Lounge
I made the mistake of trusting that this was a curly hair salon and that they'd be able to handle all curls, unfortunately for me I was wrong. My stylist was professional and clearly had knowledge about curly cuts, I respected her skill as a professional during my appointment but I did notice some techniques that I didn't think would be good for my hair (not making sure my hair was completely dry for the dry cut, it was raining; pulling my curls to cut them) but again, I respected the stylist as a professional and maybe she had a different technique from other stylists that cut my hair before but I ended up with a lot of length gone and no layers like I asked. I went from my hair falling to my mid back to it now sitting at my jaw. I wish I could give a higher rating but I can't because I paid close to $200 for a haircut that was simply a really big trim and let's just say when I leave my house I will be straightening my hair because I really hate how it looks.

The Curl Lounge
I had a lovely hydrating treatment today along with a silk press by Jessica at the Curl Lounge. Jessica was a joy to talk with, she took time to understand what I wanted. My experience was relaxing, the chairs are comfy and I almost dozed off under the spa mister :)I was really happy with the end result. Thank you for taking care of me, Jessica! Definitely coming back.

Jasmyne was amazing! I came in for a curly cut and explained that I wanted to keep my length but get a more flattering shape. She knew exactly what to do and my hair looks exactly how I wanted! She was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Will definitely be returning.

The woman did a terrible job. I admit she was kind, but I paid over a hundred dollars for her to wash my hair and tell me to flip my head side-to-side a bunch of times. I just left with a full head of wet hair.It's a little disappointing after reading all the positive reviews online. I was excited to find someone who knows how to deal with curly hair. My search for a curly hair salon continues.

As a curly haired girl I have always been skeptical and cautious going to hair salons. After finding the Curl Lounge I have changed my views and am now a regular client of Jasmyne. Jasmyne is an expert in curly hair and gave me actionable advice that has changed my hair for the better. She gave me affordable alternatives to the problematic hair products I was using before that has boosted the definition, hydration and overall health in my hair. Most importantly she listens to what you want as the client. The salon is clean, uses good products and everyone there always has a good energy to them. Will continue to be a returning customer!

Amazing hair salon with stellar customer service. I went in for a trim and treatment done by Tonika. She is extremely professional, and knowledgeable about hair care. Tonika answered all my curly hair questions and recommended great products. I will forever be a customer at the curl lounge. 10/10

Curl Lounge is amazing. After years and years of terrible hair cuts in this city with hairdressers who had no clue how to cut my 3b curls with layers yet keep the length, I found Elisha! She’s so talented and I will always support such a great Black owned business!

Had an amazing experience with Jessica, she was so kind and made sure I felt very comfortable the whole time and always explained what she was doing and why! My hair also felt really healthy and moisturized after she was done, and looked completely rejuvenated! Would 10/10 recommend

I’ve previously had pretty negative experiences with hair salons/curly hair salons but the Curl Lounge changed that for me. I cannot explain how happy I am with my hair. Elisha is the most talented hairdresser I’ve ever encountered and I think she might be the only one I’ll trust to do my hair!! I was very nervous before and during my cut but when I saw the final product, I almost didn’t believe that it was MY HAIR. The ambiance and energy in this salon really makes you feel confident and boujee, just like how their intention describes. You can tell their stylists put a lot of love and time into their work, I will 100% be back and be telling alllll my curly girls about this place!! Thank you so much Elisha, you are amazing and lovely, deserving of everything beautiful in life!!!!

Had a great experience at The Curl Lounge with Jessica - she gave me some great tips for styling my fine wavy/curly hair and took it from dried out flattened waves to bouncy hydrated curls. Super happy with how it turned out and Jessica was a pleasure to chat with.
