La Boîte à B.D. de Laval

I'm an old Canadian cartoonist who put out a new graphic novel in 2013. During the course of trying to sell them to local shops here in Montreal I met Jean Marquis, the proprietor of La Boite à B.D.Now, 14 months later, he's become my premier vendor and on top of that has recently agreed to be a local distributor for my graphic novel, To Get Her. His kindness and enthusiasm has been incredible. He truly loves the comic art form and does a great deal to foster it locally. He's a writer himself and is intimately involved in the Quebec comic art scene. Because he's so pleasant and approachable, a large community of comic art enthusiasts hang out at his shop and he regularly publishes a comic book to go with Free Comic book Day, featuring the work of local talent. Very cool.La Boite à B.D. is an excellent shop for those who like to actually discuss this new art form with a knowledgeable expert, in either French or English. A curated selection of superhero stuff, local stuff and interesting toys. A big thumbs up!

Little comic book shop that's worth visiting. Jean is super friendly and eager to answer your questions or make suggestions. If you want something he doesn't have in stock he'll happily order it for you. Don't be shy!
