Sport Chek

Had to return two bottle holders for my 2 bikes that we purchased ahead of time because the two bikes were being tuned up before picking them up (standard sport check procedure) . We bought them before getting the bikes assuming they had mounting holes. Once we got the bikes we discovered they didn’t have mounting holes so we can’t mount the two diamondback water bottle holders to our bike. The store manager Glenn didn’t believe us that our bikes didn’t have mount holes. I explained they did not, trust me. He didn’t believe me. The items were in returnable condition so not sure what his problem is. They even sold the bikes we bought in his store but I didn’t bother try to explain further . Glenn came off as very dismissive, not trusting of the customer. The sales associates are great, it’s just the store manager. I’ve had amazing experiences at the Richmond Hill Sportchek but this store manager is difficult. Glenn needs to be educated on the products he carries in his store rather than being tone deaf to the customers explanation. They moved their store at the Fairview mall to different location and the end results were disappointing.The new design of the store looks depressing, reminds of a warehouse.No staff around shoes section…literally we were waiting for someone to be there and in the end nobody didn’t assist nor help.Never coming back to this sports check unfortunately.

Bad place to shop or work at....The two main managers are just two grown man that act like teenagers behind close doors. Talking bad about their own employees, calling them names and such. Also both managers tend to have favoritism towars women. They tend to hire women and flirt with them. What goes behind doors in this store is krazy. Dont work here if you are a mature adult. No wonder there is only highschool kids.They need better management at this location.

Some staff members were helpful; however, the cashiers were rude ( especially the blonde curly hair girl which l think her name is Chloe). She was laughing at how a coupon could not be applied to the purchase ( which is incredibly rude). She may need some lessons on customer service. If the coupon from the survey cannot be applied to sale items, that should be clearly stated on the coupon itself.Update: Apparently the coupon is valid at other stores except this one …. they may need to review their policies as others were more than happy to apply it

My experience at the Sport Chek branch in CF Fairview Mall was a bit mixed. While they do have a good selection of sports products, I found the layout and organization a bit confusing. It took some time to locate specific items due to the lack of clear categorization. The staff, though friendly, seemed a bit overwhelmed and could use more support during peak hours. Despite these shortcomings, I managed to find what I needed, but it could have been a smoother shopping experience. With some improvements in product organization and customer service, this branch has the potential to offer a better shopping experience. A fair three-star rating from me

Did a $50 minor bike tune up and it says wipe down and clean is included. I got the bike back and its still dirty.. I wouldnt doubt if they only fixed one part and didnt do anything else on the list… so expensive on such a small fix.. going to canadian tire next time.
