Couldn't have asked for better caterer for our wedding!! Edwin put together an incredible menu for us in such a short space of time. The food was hearty, delicious and our guests couldn't stop talking about it even days later (the jerk chicken wraps were a mega hit)! The drop-off, set up and take down was such an easy process and fit in well with all the other activities of the day. We would absolutely recommend The Recipe Restaurant whether it's for an event, or if you just want to pick up food at the restaurant.

I dined in here today. Had a blessed experience. The owner is very kind. And the food is very delicious. I eat out here regularly. Dining in was a great experince, this place gives you that relaxed home feeling to it. I feel comfortable eating here on a date with my partner. I always enjoy the food, and the coleslaw salad is honestly so delicious, it's my favorite. I get a slice of a mango or an avacado with my food and I really love that. I've had dumplings before and I tried this chickpea thing today, I forget what it's called, but that was delicious to. Best place in Niagara Falls for Caribbean food.

One of the most charming experiences I’ve had in years.I frequent the plaza and have been eying this place for weeks and finally took the dive.The moment I saw the restaurant’s interior, I knew the food was going to be a treat.The interior looks cobbled together and simple. Reminiscent of a small island restaurant. I could tell flavour would be the owners main focus.He was extremely kind and patient while I checked the menu and once decided, I was happy to see him carefully preparing my order. I admired the decor for a bit while I waited and noticed so many interesting things scattered throughout, mainly his bookshelf filled with vintage books.My order was a jerk chicken wrap, curry goat stew and Jamaican patties.The Jamaican patties were fantastic. The dough was buttery, flakey and most importantly fresh and home made. The filling was fantastic as well but I was completely caught off guard with how good the pastry dough itself was.The jerk chicken wrap was toasted nicely, and foil wrapped so it was piping hot when I opened it. Very flavourful, with peppers and onions. The chicken breast was fresh and juicy and nicely cooked.The curry goat stew was phenomenal as well. Cooked perfectly, the meat had great texture and flavour. The stew or sauce had huge flavour and went great with the rice and beans it was served with.This place is an easy 5 star for anyone who is a fan of Caribbean food. The prices are more than reasonable, the portions are fantastic and the food is fresh and flavourful. The owner himself you can quickly tell is a kind and honest man who’s focus is sharing his wonderful food with his customers.One thing to be aware of is the food was incredibly spicy with lots of scotch bonnet which for me was great. But if you can’t handle it you may want to ask the chef what his mild menu choices are.

The first time I tried this restaurant was maybe 6 months ago and I thought it tasted good but the chicken was kind of dry. Boy did they improve! We got two orders of the jerk chicken with rice and peas and slaw and it was really delicious! 3 pieces of Chicken were juicy with great flavor and good amount of spiciness. They give extra sauce on the side too. This is a hole in the wall kind of place and it feels like your neighborhood grandma and grandpa family style restaurant. I highly recommend you trying this place. It takes 15 minutes for take out so call ahead. They have only a few tables if you want to eat in.

Delicious flavour of the chicken roti it was made fresh and the spice woooooo the best tasting hot sauce I’ve tried in my life and I’ve tried ALOT definitely coming back to this place thank you!

I got the jerk chicken. It was really good! Great island flavour with just the right amount of spice for me. Large serving. Served with a nice mango coleslaw and gravy. Love having a different flavour around. Friendly staff.

my boyfriend and I just got the doubles and they were delicious! I’m originally from Brampton where Caribbean food is plentiful and I’m so happy I finally found a good spot in Niagara Falls. Will definitely be visiting again and I recommend you do too. Don’t be scared to try some of their delicious food if you haven’t had Caribbean before- you’ll be introduced to a whole new world and the Recipe Restaurant won’t disappoint. I really enjoyed this meal and am so excited to try the oxtail or goat next time. Thank you guys so much.No pic of the food cause it was too good to stop eating! LOL

If you are in Nigara Falls and you love some Caribbean food. I suggest you go here! This wonderful man puts his heart into the food. I always order vegan roti, it comes with rice and a delicious salad. I come here very frequently. I highly recommend this food. Delicious and inviting.

The recipe restaurant offers fresh and delicious Caribbean dishes. They have an excellent selection of menu items sure to please any palate. Edwin is an established chef in the niagara region and I was excited to see he had a new restaurant. He takes care in preparing each dish filled with flavor. The coleslaw is absolutely fantastic. The jerk chicken is very spicy and tasty. You can also find a selection of juices here and vegetarian and vegan options. The recipe restaurant is currently offering specials which I've included photos of those menus in this review. I would absolutely recommend the recipe restaurant.
