Foodland - Arthur

Staff is friendly and helpful. The meat/butcher department is amazing. Just ask and they'll get you amazing steaks as thick as you desire. The prices are a little (and by little I mean a lot ) on the high side. And when it comes to produce be sure to inspect what your buying because there's a lot of straight up rotten garbage on the shelves. Plenty of parking and the store is always bright and clean.

For a small town grocer I really think this store is ok. I constantly hear people say it's too expensive but to be honest that isn't what I see. It is the only grocery store within roughly 15kms in every direction. Other stores like Jay's Variety in Palmerston jack prices brutally knowing customers have no other local option. But at Foodland I see prices that are reasonable and they also have a wide selection of on sale items at any given time. I don't think a minimum round trip 30km drive to another store which costs fuel, wear and tear, and takes at least 30min of your time is worth doing. I also feel it's worth mentioning that the Arthur Foodland also employs a lot of youth from the local area giving these young people some experience to head out into the world and move on to bigger and better opportunities. I think it's important to support our local store..

Tom & Amanda along with their staff are always friendly, caring and helpful. It was no different when we required some event items for our daughter's wedding. The food was tasty, appealingly displayed and affordable. A great experience and so handy right here in Arthur. Thank you so much!

The building is well maintained, but showing its age, which is most noticeable when using the public bathroom. It's a smaller store but the items they do carry are always stocked, organised and forward facing, which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. The staff is nice and helpful. On a side not Foodland sells the best sausages.

Love the hot and cold deli foods

Best meat department in the country. I don't really know that, I haven't been to all the meat departments in the country. But it's gotta be top 10 at least.
