Electrify Canada Charging Station

Very nice charging station, lots of chargers available and very well maintained. Lots of places to eat/shop while you wait.

A frustrating experience for sure. Awesome to have these available, and in the location that they are - and having 4 units/8 handles is great. The software experience for activating them and getting a reliable charge is a challenge though.Expect to have to replug, connect a couple times or activate in app or at the station multiple times depending on the day. I wish they were more reliable, but the hardware/software experience isn't mature enough yet. These are miles ahead of the Petro Canada charging experience right now, but don't stack up against the painless experience Tesla offers at superchargers yet.The price is also fairly high given the speeds on the 150 kW handles, and I imagine for slower charging EV's the per-minute high billing rates will cost equally as much as a gasoline car would to fill. The EA/EC monthly membership is more than worthwhile even for a single monthly charging session - the reduced per minute billing is a huge savings.

Charging was than expected and one of the plugs did not clip in the car.

Always been a smooth charging experience at Electrify Canada for me, though I always use the app. Pull up, plug in the car, then select the charger in particular in the app and swipe to start charging. The charging screen on both the station and the app definitely dp show you the cost of the charge so far, in the upper middle box on the station itself. Speed is always reliable, especially on cars that can take >100kW, compared to luck of the draw at Petro Canada.It is very cheap compared to other stations if your car has a 90kW maximum or less, but pricey if less. Their pricing structure works in an annoying way where it is based on the absolute maximum your car tells the charger it can take, not what it actually is taking. So if your car can take 100kW in optimal conditions but it's middle of winter so it's only taking 50, well sucks to be you because you still get put in the higher price bracket.Occasionally I have to try a second time to get it to initiate charging on my Leaf, but the same thing happens at FLO and Petro stations as well, so that one is definitely a problem with the car and not Electrify Canada.Other CHAdeMO users (even reasonably minded CCS users) will agree that, aside from Electrify's intentional segregation of CHAdeMO users, having a CCS handle on the sole CHAdeMO station makes it even further of a big hassle when often times there will only be a single car charging and it is a CCS vehicle blocking that spot from being used.

Worked well but surprisingly only a 67 kW charge rate ? It was above zero degrees and my SOC was 57%. ?

Feeling taken advantage of. There were 2 posted rates based on charge speed. $0.27 a minute for upto 90kw and $0.54 a minute for upto 350kw. It never charged faster than about 70kw and charged me the higher rate. They should charge by actual kWh usage (like your utility bill doea), or at the very least the actual charge speed. This is predatory pricing.

This is the best fast charging option available anywhere in Alberta. You actually charge at the speed they advertise unlike competitors. The machines often do not work so if you have the patience to deal with the operator on the phone for an extra 15 min its faster than anything else in Alberta by 200% ++

Most chargers were working, one was not. There were no other vehicles charging during our visit. Max speed for a Mustang Mach E was 124 kw. It throttles down sharply after reaching an 80% charge. Off-ramp from northbound Deerfoot to 64 Ave. is currently closed for construction.

Edit: Cold battery meant slower charging speed than normal. Half the station is down for repairs. Two stations remain up and running.Charging was at the advertised speed and was easily initiated. No wait.
