Dog House Training Academy

So extremely thankful for Taylor! She taught us so many handler skills, and gave us the tools to start working with our rescue doggo. She goes over and beyond what you'd expect from a typical trainer! Without her help with Rosie, not sure where we'd be right now. Taylor inspired me to continue working hard with Rosie and I feel so much more confident walking around our neighbourhood and taking her places, something we couldn't do before Taylor came along. You're amazing Taylor! <3

We can’t recommend dog house training academy enough!! After being scammed by another trainer, Taylor reached out and was VERY accommodating. She showed our people selective boy SO much love and actively listened to our questions, concerns and problems and has always been there for us even after finishing our sessions. Taylor is able and willing to educate on specific tools and training methods/ideas rather than just telling you what to do and that was much appreciated. We are so thankful to have met her and will continue to work with Taylor as long as we can!

I adopted a 1 year old German shepherd mix and after having her for almost a year I moved from a small farm town to the city and realized I needed some more training.Taylor has helped me be able to walk my dog during busy times around my neighbourhood without stress! Now we are working on e collar training and it’s going better than I could’ve imagine!I am so excited to see my dog become the best she can be!Thank you Taylor!

Taylor is just AMAZING! Before sending my dog to stay and train program, I have investigated in many trainers and Taylor is the one who gave me confident that my dog is trainable and is only reactivity that is my dog is presenting not AGGRESSION! While all the other trainers said my dog was pure aggression and needed serious help. Our dog was struggling with reactivity in the past for the longest time, where he literally will bark at ANYBODY he sees when are out for a simple walk. He does not know how to loose leash walking - and had no attention on me when are on our walks. Obviously because of this he lived in a small life where he is home all the time. We cannot take him anywhere because he is very reactive/ aggressive to people and dogs. I was very frustrated and watched lots of YouTube videos on how to properly train dogs, and there were no help. Until I met Taylor, we did a 3 week stay and train program. My boy was different in the first day! After one week of training we were at a dog park together on the weekend! It’s amazing to see my dog behaving so well in front of many other dogs and people without barking, I was thrilled because I never imagined my dog would be able to do that. I can now take my dog to shopping places, dog park, walk on a Banff trail with no problem. And see my dog happily then before because he is able to see a bigger world. This money is well invested, and I really appreciate Taylor and Kyle’s service and it was amazing to meet both of them!!!

I went to Taylor with my 6 month old pup for her stay and train program. I cannot thank Taylor enough as the difference in my dog is amazing! She also trains the owner also and helps us understand why our dogs do what they do and how we can help to correct. We have booked more training sessions with her to further my dogs training and we can’t wait! I’d 100% trust Taylor with any of my dogs going forward!

Taylor is honestly the best thing to happen to dog training! She is so talented and so intuitive with dogs. Her training is very positive and easy to follow, I would trust Taylor with any dog I have.She have made our lives so much easier and less stressful with Murphy! Our golden was very reactive on leash and difficult to walk. We had a complete transformation with our dog thanks to Taylor’s guidance!She also gave us many tools to use going forward with Murphy and to improve his recall. She makes training fun and interesting and helps build your relationship with your pup!

Taylor and Kyle are amazing! Could not recommend enough. My rottweiler is now amazing on leash and his recall off leash has improved immensely. Dog House has made life with my dog better!!

We are so thankful for the training provided by Taylor! We spent weeks deciding if the board and train was worth the investment, and I am so happy we went with it. As a family with young, wild kids, I wanted to be sure our pup was well trained. Especially with recall for when the kids leave the door open and for family hikes. I am so grateful to have her come on family adventures with us.

As a first time dog owner and being on my own I really wanted the second hand to help out with the starting steps of owning a dog as we all know that can be time consuming, I got recommended to Taylor from a friend. The first time I talked to her I knew she was very educated in the field , I went to a few training classes with Taylor and noticed the difference immediately, ill be recommending any dog owner to Taylor in the future!

We sent our 11 month old Bernese x Golden Retriever mix (Lady) to Taylor for her board & train program and couldn’t be happier or more amazed with Lady’s transformation! Lady had severe leash reactivity that would lead to meltdowns and an inability to even try walking her on a leash. Taylor was able to teach Lady how to walk at our side without getting triggered by her leash (which we thought would be impossible), and also taught us the necessary skills to continue supporting Lady’s positive transformation. Immediately after completing the board & train program, we noticed a huge improvement in our dog’s attentiveness and focus. Taylor was also extremely accommodating and responsive, and just lovely to work with. Lady had a blast during these past couple of weeks, and we look forward to future group classes and puppy play dates. We absolutely recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a trainer, and only wish we had gone to her sooner!
