Had my first (probably last) visit to this restaurant on May 13/23. The food was excellent (I had the shrimp tacos, very yummy), and the staff were attentive. However, this restaurant is completely non-handicap accessible. I had to ask the staff to help me up the steps with my rollator, from street level into the restaurant. There is no washroom on the ground level, and I didn't dare trying to access the washroom in the basement because the stairs were very narrow and steep. It will soon be 2025, when all public buildings in Ontario will be required to be wheelchair-accessible. A simple ramp from the street and a washroom on the main level will make all the difference.

In addition to giving me food poisoning, my order of mixed tacos was extremely wet. They had lots of sauce on them and tasted good, but the tortilla was soggy from it and falling apart in my hands. The outside of the restaraunt is also uninviting as the door is covered in signs saying bathroom only avalible to customers" and "no alcohol served unless you buy food". I have no problem with these rules

Fish tacos was really enjoyable. Side patio is also very cute. Need to come back to try other items on the menu. The decor could be more bright and attractive.

First time here. Excellent authentic Mexican. Burrito Ahogado was deliciously packed with an even ratio of beans, rice, beef, etc. Tomatillo Salsa Verde topping was superb and the habanero chili sauce provided a pleasant kick of heat. Owner was super friendly and took the time to chat with us. Will definitely be back, but on the patio next time.

Tasty, affordable (at least for now!) and with a cute side patio if you want to be off of Bloor. Guac and salsa were yummy and had a slight twist to them. I had the huevos rancheros and friend had cactus tacos and we enjoyed our meals. I had a Paloma to drink and think it was a bit too grapefruit heavy/off-balance, but still a decent cocktail. It was a quiet evening when we went, service was friendly and attentive. Overall I'd say this is a great neighborhood spot and I'd go again!

Had a good lunch. The fish tacos were delicious. Service was great. Servers were polite and accommodating. I can't even remember the name of what I ordered but it was good....steak strips with potatoes and cheese and green tomatoes. My husband and I loved it except it's a little pricey.

Located in a prime location near High Park, this restaurant is easily accessible. Upon entering, the atmosphere may seem a bit subdued due to the dim lighting. However, the staff is highly welcoming and attentive to the guests.The menu offers a variety of options, including Mixed Tacos and Barbacoa Tacos. While the Mixed Tacos had a slightly runny and soggy consistency, the Barbacoa Tacos were satisfactory. It is important to note that I experienced food poisoning after my meal, which may indicate a need for improved food handling and safety measures.As for the overall ambiance, the presence of numerous warning signs and rules upon entering might not create the most inviting first impression. This restaurant has a great location and friendly staff, but there is room for improvement in terms of food quality and ambiance.

Love this spot, I live in the neighbourhood and this is a gem!Super fresh and tastey food, affordable prices, and the staff and owners are friendlyThe patio right across from High Park is great for people watching too.Would highly recommend the nachos- (the toppings are layered between the chips), and the fish tacos are really good.Two of us shared the nachos and an order of fish tacos (they come with 4), and we were satisfied. Add a few tequila shots and Corona's, and it's definitely a nice evening!

Great location just outside High Park. Unfortunately a very unwelcoming environment and rude head waiter. Huge, multiple signs posted all over the exterior warning about rules - ie no pets on the patio, bathrooms for customers only, and no drinks without a food order - make it feel inhospitable. Every establishment has its rules but this was just unfriendly. But there are no other options nearby, so I stopped by with my family today for a drink on the patio. Heads up for anyone with mobility challenges: the restaurant is not accessible and the stairs to get inside are in bad shape. We were seated after being warned not to move their patio tables (our group was larger than would fit at one and they would not move tables together) and the server made a show of tapping on the the big red note on the menu saying no drinks without food. We followed the rules and ordered a snack with our drinks. We dared to order a second round and the server was indignant when he asked for our meal order we said we were happy with snacks - he actually rolled his eyes and stormed off. Really unfortunate behaviour, especially considering it was mid afternoon between meal times and the restaurant was mostly empty - and I guess now I know why. Will not return.
