I work in Canada as a work visa I have never been out of Canada since 2016. Last winter my visa expired, so I had to wait for a long time for a new one due to Covid 19. That time, my son got hurt and went to the emergency and had to pay thousands of dollars because he couldn't get MSP covered. In the meantime, I've been working and paying full tax, but I couldn't get any medical benefits. I talked to MSP on the phone several times, but they said they couldn't do anything for me.

2019-01-29I will be contacting you, the College of Physicians, and the College of Pharmacists regarding REAL Pharmacists (even the non-practicing ones due to Canada's unjust laws) having prescriptive authorities and bridging to become doctors. Pharmacists have six years of university medical education. We should be able to use our medical knowledge and prescribe like doctors do based on what we have learned in school.Unused talents are a big waste. Why should Asians be treated like subhumans?Treat this as a pharmacist bridging program to become physicians, similar to nurse practitioners working as physicians, EXCEPT THAT PHARMACISTS KNOW JUST AS MUCH OR JUST AS LITTLE FUNDAMENTAL SCIENCE AS PHYSICIANS! ASIANS HAVE NO PROBLEMS STRAIGHT MEMORIZE. THEIR SAT SCORES FOR HARVARD IS 22 POINTS HIGHER THAN WHITE APPLICANTS. THE ONLY THING IS THAT ASIANS LIKE TO ATTACK EACH OTHER AND CANNOT WORK AS A TEAM. WELL, THERE ARE A FEW WHO DO NOT ATTACK EACH OTHER, AND THEY WOULD MAKE GREAT DOCTORS IN PHARMACIST BRIDGING PROGRAM"."

As someone who has experienced the healthcare system in Canada, I must say that I am extremely disappointed with the overall quality and efficiency of the system. While Canada's healthcare system is often praised for its universality and accessibility, my personal encounters have left me dissatisfied and frustrated. One of the major issues I have faced is the long waiting times for medical procedures and specialist appointments. It is disheartening to see people waiting for months or even years to receive the necessary care they require. This delay in treatment can have serious consequences for patients, as their conditions may worsen while they wait. The lack of timely care is simply unacceptable.Furthermore, the limited availability of certain medical services and treatments is a significant drawback. It is quite common for Canadians to have to travel long distances to access specialized treatments or surgeries, as not all healthcare facilities offer comprehensive services. This inconvenience adds to the already stressful situation of dealing with a health issue. The shortage of healthcare professionals is another glaring issue within the system. The demand for healthcare services far outweighs the supply of doctors, nurses, and other medical practitioners. Consequently, this leads to overworked healthcare professionals, burnout, and compromised patient care. It is disheartening to witness dedicated healthcare workers being stretched thin due to a lack of support. Moreover, the lack of emphasis on preventive care is noticeable. While there are some preventive programs in place, they are often insufficiently promoted and underfunded. This results in a reactive rather than proactive approach to healthcare, where patients only receive attention once their conditions have escalated. Preventive care plays a crucial role in reducing the burden on the healthcare system and improving overall public health, but it appears to be neglected.Lastly, the bureaucratic red tape and administrative inefficiencies within the healthcare system are frustrating for both patients and healthcare providers. Navigating through the complexities of the system can be overwhelming and time-consuming. The administrative burden placed on healthcare professionals takes away valuable time that could be dedicated to patient care.Overall, my experience with Canada's healthcare system has been deeply disappointing. While the principles of universality and accessibility are commendable, the execution falls short. Long waiting times, limited availability of services, understaffing, inadequate emphasis on prevention, and administrative hurdles hinder the effectiveness and efficiency of the system. Significant improvements are necessary to provide the quality healthcare that Canadians deserve.

You'll be dead long before you get any decent Healthcare in this province. That's a fact. As for renewing BC health care for a tax paying resident who's been paying taxes in the province for 13 straight years and was out of the country and couldn't return due to covid, due to Canadian and Chinese government restrictions, good luck renewing your healthcare card. The government representatives are horrible and rude. Frankly I'm pretty sure they're racist based on our experience. A trivial task to renew a healthcare card with proper requested documents that stated the departure and arrival date and the reason going back 10 years wasn't sufficient because the representative kept claiming she couldn't understand it, even though the document was clearly labeled and in perfect English. This country is falling apart and we all know why.
