Sauble Beach Antiques

Two of us attempted to enter the store at approx. 2:50 pm, however, there was a elasticized cord stretched across the entry door, and male voices within. We waited, and assumed it was obvious we wanted to enter, but no one came, so we pulled the cord aside and went up the stairs. Upon seeing us, the owner made an aggressive bee line towards us and assaulted us with a barrage of angry toned comments like, We're closed...I'm retired and can have any hours I want...this is my store

I am an avid antique hunter. And am in sauble for the week. Was planning on checking you guys out until I saw the reviews, how the owner responds to the reviews and the picture of your note in the front window stating Repeat or serious customers only

This is one of my favourite spots to shop at Sauble Beach! It is a wonderful store with friendly and knowledgeable owners on all things antique and vintage. COVID has made shopping more awkward than normal and rightfully so and the owners are very conscientious of this and make every effort to accommodate everyone in a safe and pleasant shopping environment. There is a wide variety of treasures and special finds from a variety of eras. Definitely a shop of quality and unique finds. There is something for everyone! Stock is constantly changing which makes repeat visits essential if looking for something special. Well worth a visit. Adore this shop!

**haha owner completely changed their first response. do yourself a favour and don’t even bother*reply to the owners response - no, you were not 2 meters away - glad you are not aware of measurements. as well, happy to know that you don’t find your inventory proper for interiors - otherwise, why else would it not be a place for interior designers? will definitely be speaking of this negative experience to everyone i cross paths with.not impressed at all. i am an interior designer from the area. have been a repeat customer, but was not allowed in when not being a “collector” or “local customer”. i am vaccinated, wear a mask, and have done my part during this pandemic. don’t even bother supporting this business, they obviously don’t care about any new potential customers. not to mention for an owner so versed in covid… he should learn how to properly wear a mask.

Tried going during posted hours, they were closed. Went online to check the hours again and read some of the reviews. Wow. Why would you treat people like that? You vote with your $, and I am taking mine somewhere else.

We bought some beautiful ceiling lights at excellent prices. Always great shopping here. Brad and Maryann are helpful and knowledgeable.

We visited this shop yesterday only to be turned away and refused entry by the owner standing guard outside. When asked why he said there was no room in the shop for physical distancing. I noted that there were no other customers in the shop and we were all from the same household. That did not change his mind. I asked if we could go in one at a time. He replied why would you need to do that" insinuating we were not antique collectors and had no reason to be there. Very rude

I come to Sauble Beach when coming through town on holidays. I always find wonderful treasures and buy a few things.

Tried to stop in and look around with my husband. Both of us wearing masks and NOT 1 person in the store. The lady would not allow us in. You CAN'T sell items that people can't see. If they are that concerned about COVID then stay closed! Not a positive experience!In response to your reply. We traveled all around tourist towns"...everywhere from Grand Bend to Wasaga to Blue Mountain to Collingwood to Midland and Penetag...EVERY single large or small store we entered were taking every precaution to ensure the safety of staff and customers alike!! EVERYWHERE! Your store was not unique in taking safety precautions and that is insulting to other business owners to assume they are not taking this pandemic seriously! Not one store appeared open and refused entry to just select customers. If you want to remain an "exclusive" business just for your "select" customer base then stay closed...if your customers will still come then good for you but to stay open and then refuse entry is RIDICULOUS!"

DEFINITELY LESS THAN 1 STAR , Garbage , Horrible Place, I understand Covid Being a thing but how in the hell can you remain open And Deny People From Coming In Without Knowing What they want to buy , How in the hell am I supposed to know what I want at a store I’m not allowed in, that’s ok owner was completely rude anyways, honestly hope the worst for this place:)
