K-Wood Kitchens and Bath

Kwood first renovated a bathroom for us (as a bit of a trial run) and they were amazing. So, we went ahead with a main floor renovation which included relocating the kitchen. Once again, they did a great job. In addition to paying attention to details, they were incredibly responsive, polite and we will miss having them around. Despite most workers not speaking English, there were very few communication breakdowns!Our larger project involved removing a wall, removing a stucco ceiling, installing a beam and post, enlarging a doorway, designing and installing cabinetry for a kitchen/family room area, new trim, a new skylight ++. We love our new space and the project was on budget and completed in a reasonable time frame. We are grateful to Endrina who coordinated things, “Uncle” Bun’s team and Ching and David for the final quality control and are sorry we don’t have another job for them now that the work is done!

It's been 18 months since we did a complete kitchen reno with K-Wood. Since then, several friends who've seen our kitchen and heard our story have used K-Wood as well. Every one of them has a good story to tell.The finished product is fabulous. I still smile every time I step in the kitchen. But what I really would emphasize is that the relationship with the contractor is critically important, and people understate that. In this case, K-Wood gave us an extravagant amount of time for our planning and multiple revisions to the plans. We were presented with a new set of digital images each time. We got great advice from them. But mostly, we had the opportunity to think it through in depth. All of our preferences were respected. For the few issues we couldn't decide, we left it in their hands; in every case, they made the right call, although I couldn't know that until it was done.They were completely accommodating about minor variations we requested during construction, at exceptionally fair prices.Even better, they employed all their own trades. There was not a single day when they arrived a minute late or left early. They were immaculate about keeping the house clean. The project manager was on-site frequently and was always responsive to our calls. In the end, the job finished a week early. You read that right.Highest possible recommendation.

This is long overdue, but we had K-Wood renovate our kitchen last fall, and overall, we love it! New cabinets, backsplash, countertop and sink, it's a world of difference! Joe and his team took great care of us and made sure to get things just the way we wanted them to be. There were a couple of miscommunications from both sides, so the experience wasn't quite perfect, but it was really close! And they went above and beyond to make any changes/adjustments we asked for mid-reno. Highly recommend!

We had K-Wood do a kitchen reno for us which included the removal of a load bearing wall and new floors throughout. From the start Endrina was amazing to deal with and worked with my wife to design her dream kitchen. We could not be more pleased with the results. Would recommend them to anyone.

This was our first home and first renovation project of the kitchen. We had 0 clue of what to expect and what the cost would be like.We were paired with Clement from KWood to walk us through the process starting with the design and measurements. After providing our concepts, he worked with the precise measurements and throughly explained what would work and what wouldn’t along with his design suggestions on balancing between busy and plain patterns and colours. We were very impressed with his prompt response and details on the work.Since we were on a time crunch (around the holiday), we set a goal to finish all the kitchen work within a week. At first it seemed there would be a delay but Clement came through coordinating with the parties involved to deliver everything on time.What was included with the package ($11,300 with tax):Cabinets, under-cabinet pot lights, countertop, under mounted sink, pots and pans rack, under sink garbage bins and spice rack along with installationsWhat wasn’t included in the package ($5,000 total with different contractors):Kitchen demolition, Kitchen faucet and installation, appliance installations, pot lights, additional receptacles, flooring and baseboard corrections, wall patch ups and paint, tile materials and installation for the backsplash.One area I’d like to see improvements on is the level of guidance for new home renovators. It would have been very helpful to know all the different work involved for a kitchen and what professionals to seek out for each. The following is our list of different professions we had to work with in addition to KWood:Electrician: Pot lights, electrical work for under cabinet lights and 2 additional receptaclesPlumber: kitchen faucet (we bought the faucet and soap dispenser from Amazon) and dishwasher installation.General construction: kitchen demolition, dry wall patch ups, paintingTile Installer: Backsplash; we provided the tiles from Olympia tiles and non-sanded bright white grout from Home DepotDIY: Microwave installationOverall we were very satisfied with KWood’s delivery based on what was agreed upon and would definitely work with them on future renovation projects.

Having owned a few homes and built several dozen stores over the years, my wife and I have experienced the 'excitement' of several renovations. I think that all would agree that it's never a bed of roses!Yet, as we sit here in the comfort of our beautiful newly transformed home, we simply have to look around, with pride, to be reminded that the level of personal attention and quality of workmanship that we received from K-Wood, was and remains second to none. In fact, K-Wood really is in a league all its own in terms of the quality and value we received for our money.And to be certain, we are very indebted to their talented and personable representative, Clement, for so adroitly managing our expectations while creatively designing and pulling everything together and making it work. In the midst of the dust, noise and general chaos, Clement remained calm, collected and steadfast in his approach and style of managing his capable, on-site team of people, all of whom are obviously seasoned experts in their respective specialties. In addition to showing up on time, they were very polite and respectful of our home while strictly adhering to the rules of our condominium association. Such a pleasure!For what it's worth, we've had no hesitation recommendingK-Wood, and Clement in particular, to some friends and family members, several of whom have recently experienced the same delight as we did and will continue to enjoy over the years to come.Again, thank-you Clement, for achieving and delivering on everything (and more) that you promised!

This is my honest review of my recent renovation of my kitchen, laundry room and powder room with Kwood. My wife and I started our planning in March this year. We visited Kwood and met with Endrina to discuss our designs. She is very knowledgeable and helped us to navigate the complexity of our project. The actual renovation started in July and finished in November. It was not easy for my family to live in our home and cope with all the noise and dust. Luckily, their crew was always accommodating to us. There were a few obstacles along the course of my renovation, but Endrina and her team are always there to help us. This is understandable, due to the complexity of our project. Overall, my renovation is a success. Endrina was able to bring our vision into reality. She is truly a magician who brought a new life into my home. Honourable mention to Mr. Wong, Bill, Bun, Ching and the rest of their crew. Thank you for your dedication and passion in what you do. I really appreciate all of your hard work in these past months.

When you speak about K-Wood Kitchens its difficult to give them a 5 Star Rating because they deserve a 10 Star Rating. From start to finish our experience was incredible. We dealt with Mr. Simon Chan who is thoroughly professional, meticulous and knowledgeable. Simon came to our home to measure and make suggestions as to the most efficient design that suited our needs. His recommendations increased the functionality of the space we had been using with our previous cabinets and gave us a lot more space. The selection and quality of finishes for the cabinets is unlike any other Kitchen Company we visited from High end to Mid Range. K-Wood only uses the BEST products from the European Woods to the best quality hinges and mechanisms. We ordered a Lift up and Side Swinging door for our larger kitchen gadgets and they work perfectly. The Magic Corner" is fantastic and gives us more useable and accessible space than what we had in the past. His Crew was mindful of our home and insured that nothing got damaged or was made dirty during the renovation and installation process. What separates Great people from others is when there is an issue how quickly they respond and address the issue. This is where Simon's Team springs into Action. We had some minor issues where a drawer needed to be adjusted with other parts and they acted immediately to fix it. I would have to take up a lot of space here to continue this review so let me sum it up. FANTASTIC
