This park on the coast is the perfect spot for a pic-nick / lunch break. It is not far from Cabot trail, so you can easily make a diversion. The beach is also nice but very narrow.

A beautiful and pristine beach, extending for many miles along the coast. I really recommend stopping here as you make your way along the Cabot Trail.

I am a little perplexed by the reviews that say the beach is clean and beautiful. We found several large piles of trash (mostly ropes, broken lobster traps, etc.) on the beach just west of the historical marker. I have never seen so much trash on a public beach. The boardwalk from the park area to the beach as well as the picnic tables at the park were mostly broken down. However, it was still worth a visit because it is a long beach with a clifflike backdrop. The historical marker is also very interesting.

Great place to stop. Sandy Beach. Its right on the ocean so the waves were quite strong didn't swim but the water was a good temp for ocean water. Great views.

Been going here for years! The beach is a pebbly sand with rocks as you enter the water, I recommend water shoes. The sand can get really hot as well. The view makes the whole experience worth it. There are picnic tables on the grass part as well as outhouses.

This is a very nice Beach with awesome views of the highlands in the background. There is a little Brook the enters the ocean on this beach which leaves a nice little fresh water pool to swim in. There is a lot of history at this beach hence the name. It's hard not to dream when your there thinking about when Cabot actually landed. You can visit this beach on your way visiting Meat Cove. If you really want to get adventurous you can walk the beach to Dingwall.

It's a beautiful provincial park with lots of picnic tables and a beautiful beach. Historic land mark was also in the site. Good place to have your picnic lunch or snack and enjoy the views.
