Coast Machinery Group

I'd proceed with caution buying anything from them. Received wrong machine that was of lesser value. 6+ months later after reaching an agreement nothing has proceeded and any attempts at contact are being ignored.

Coast Machinery is a company that cares about it's customers, before the sale, during the sale and most importantly, after the sale. I recently purchased a piece of equipment from Cyril at Coast Machinery. I live in Athens, GA so this was a tricky 3,000 mile journey involving multiple shipping companies. An unusual issue arose during the shipping process, but Cyril stepped in, problem-solved and demanded everyone involved rise to the standards of Coast Machinery.I have bought several machines from multiple companies. I have never dealt with a machinery company with such integrity and honor. I wish I could give Cyril and Coast Machinery more stars but Google has capped me at 5.

I purchased a smaller item from Coast Machinery, and I experienced no problems at all. They shipped the item to me in the United States promptly via UPS with reasonable expense.Frankly, sometimes it is difficult to deal with international shipments, but this one was just like buying something from another State. In addition, Coast's communication was very quick once I called. That is one thing I would recommend. I didn't originally get a response when I went through the company's website 'question' so I am not sure that is being directed properly. But once I called and an invoice was sent (so, a direct email address), all responses were almost immediate. Therefore, I would highly recommend that you follow-up with an phone call if your initial website query is not successful.In summary, I would happily buy from Coast again.

UPDATED: Lots of selection but no customer service; asked about tooling and got pointed to a pile on the floor and told 'maybe there is something in there'...and guy walked away. NO other customers or calls...no one....Inspector arrived AFTER I got my short-lived service so you can get your facts straight; in fact, I arrived when your manager was on the phone earlier with someone else (you, perhaps?..asked if you were 'coming in today') so clearly I did not walk into the midst of any 'conference' going on.Later, I got to watch while your manager bowed to the Inspector; repetitively calling him 'sir' every 30 seconds and pouring out his guts...never did come back to help me...it was pathetic.

I purchased a machine from Cyril at Coast Machinery Group using a popular online auction website. Cyril was incredibly helpful in answering my questions about the machine, including taking photos and a video. The communication with Coast Machinery Group was always very courteous, helpful, and prompt. The folks at Coast Machinery Group went above and beyond to make sure that the machine I purchased from them arrived safe and sound, all the way from British Columbia down to Louisiana. I would recommend Coast Machinery Group to anyone looking to purchase used machinery!

Updated; I contacted Mitch in July 2022 regarding the sale of two smaller items, a price was agreed and arrangements were made for them to be picked up from our facility. The pick up never happened and I've contacted Mitch on several occasions to find out when they'd be picked up, several excuses and 12 months have passed. Our previous good review of 5 stars has now been updated to reflect our latest experience.Mitch was very responsive to my requests and the whole process of selling our surplus equipment from offer to picking up was seamless.More companies should be as professional as Coast Machinery Group.

Love dealing with Mitch and the crew at Coast Machinery. I've bought several pieces of equipment off of them over the years, in person, on line, and over the phone. They always return my calls and are very fair with me when negotiating a price on a piece of equipment. Find myself always reviewing there inventory on line searching for my next purchase..

Mitch, Cyril and Charlotte were all very helpful and responsive with the forklift we purchased from them. They ensured that it was in top shape and ready to be put to work before it left their building. It was just what we needed at a fair price.

Mitch and his team did a wonderful job helping me clear out my shop space. He was clear, fair and very reasonable while figuring out the best way to handle the sale of my equipment. If I were or am ever in this situation again I would call them to in a heartbeat. Very pleased with the results and timeliness of the transaction. Give them a call and they will help you out.
