We had the best fish & chips in Newfoundland. The gravy and the dressing was the most unique experience we had with fish and chips. They have huge servings and great service

WAY better than the guy next door! First time I had Leo's - am from out of town. The food was incredible - the fish was like butter, the batter was perfect. It was crisp on the outside and had a little chew to it. I had the 2 piece with a few" fries...even for a few...it was a LOT! My aunt had the same but with a "lot" of fires...way too many fires...lol. The gravy was typical restaurant gravy

Since it’s in Newfoundland and I have been to other fish places I have to give it a 3-star. If this restaurant is in Toronto I’ll give it a 4. I went to Ches’s next door and it’s a solid 5. The waiting time is very very long although there aren’t many customers. Food is semi burnt. The fish is soggy. Batter is also soggy. Staff not pleasant. Fries are so-so. Gravy has a burnt taste, it’s thick but it’s tasteless. Fish (cod) is good but the soggy batter ruins it. My suggestion is to go to Ches’s next door instead. Ches’s is cheaper too.

Despite the cost, Leo's fish and chip's is and always the best. A family run business that's been passed on down through the family.... One of my favorite places to eat in..... Great Job #Leo's!!!

Lovely service and loved the salt and pepper shakers. Good portions. Flaked soft cod. Would have liked newer oil for the fry up. But it's not so serious a gripe. A place like this is becoming rarer, knowing it's intimate, and a lot of patrons being greetex with such familiarity.

Leo's Restaurant & Take-Out
The fish and chips are great! The batter is very crispy and the fries are just so good. It's a very popular place for the locals and it just has a few seats. You might have to wait bit during peak hours. But you won't be disappointed. A must try if you're looking for some good fish and chips. Very friendly service as well.
