Avis Car Rental

When I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, photos of the mileage I used I was charged a refueling fee of $30. I disputed this and was told by the counter rep that I needed to listen to her as she lectures me like a child. When I said no I don’t I need this done she took back my invoice changed the mileage amount and added the refueling fee. I have documented proof of the mileage as being 40kms which she changed to 82kms and time stamped photos of a full tank of gas along with a mileage tracker that is accepted by Revenue Canada.I find it extremely unprofessional that someone can change my invoice in the manner that she did. I have called several times to speak with the manager with no reply. I have taken this to Avis complaint department and filed a dispute with my credit card company.

Beware - unlike every other Avis, the Sault Ste. Marie location has very strict kilometer restrictions. I realized this ten minutes after the reservation was booked and they refused to waive the $50 cancellation fee.

I have never dealt with such a shady business in my entire life. I was overcharged more then half of my original booking price without warning or an explanation. I have called several times with no reply back. I advise you to not use this company for any of your booking needs. No stars are deserved for this business.

Vehicle had a constant whine from back axle. 2017 model. In addition 30 cents per mile surcharge over 100 miles per day.Will not be renting from Avis in the near future. Sault St Marie sirport location.

Was given a car that had a lot of existing damage, even a sticker from the police indicating that the damage had been reported. Found parking stubs and McDonald's wrappers from the previous customer still in the car.After returning the car we got a call the next day claiming the car was damaged and asking us to complete an incident report" so that they can charge us for it!"

Mercedes (rep) provided my friends and I quite possibly the greatest customer service experience that i have ever encountered and I am in sales! We had 2 friends who flew in 6 hours late and came in after the car rental places had closed. Mercedes thought completely out of the box and was able to get us a car at 1am in the morning. 5 star service all the way
