SIXT Car Hire - Inverness Airport

Enjoyed the vehicle. I took a BMW series 1, for 2 days and the entire process was smooth. I dropped off the vehicle at the Glasgow airport & overall didn’t caused any issues. I had billing issues, which I raised and it was resolved satisfactorily. So I would strongly recommend SiXT.Thanks for the experience

I had a great experience with Sixt rental service. The car was much more then what I was expecting to be, the friendly staff and the amount of time spent by them explaining the whole process.I would definitely recommend and will return to use their services.Their prices are pretty good comparing to other rental companies and it’s good value for money.

Please be aware, the hire place is a fair walk away from the terminal. You can give them a ring (off season) and shuttle will collect you from the airport. During season they have regular shuttle service from front of the terminal.Everyone was super friendly and helpful.Excellent service from Amanda during the pick up. She went above and beyond. I was super happy with the car.Returning the car was super easy and the gentleman who was driving the shuttle bus was more than helpful.Highly recommended.A message to the people moaning about damage charge:If you damage the car, don't be surprised about charge. If you are not a confident driver, get an access cover, which one is a more than affordable option. Trust me, they are honest people and nobody takes a pleasure in to find some damage on the returned car and charge you for it. This is simple business and not a charity organisation.

Staff was friendly and competent. It was an easy process to rent the car. Would advise that this shuttle can drive to the Inverness Airport and the Inverness Airport Train depot. So if carrying luggage, call from the train depot and they’ll pick you up so you don’t have to walk the mile to the airport with your bags.

Outstanding service. Unlike other agencies I’ve used, I was easily able to communicate directly with this branch (as opposed to a call center with many prerecorded prompts). Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, shuttle service was quick and easy, and the car was great!

DO NOT BOOK WITH SIXTWe booked a car for Friday night pick up at 9.30pm with an extra charge for ‘after hours’ however no one was at the bus stop, no one picked up at the telephone number provided so we walked with our luggage down the main road to find the place closed and no one there. So we called the main customer service line to just be told that it was closed…no apology, no solution.So we walked down the road again to Enterprise who sorted us with a car but it was double the price as it was last minute. We had to drive to Skye which was 2 hours away so we had no choice.Tried to get SIXT to just refund the difference and they just refused. Terrible, terrible customer service. I don’t know how they can offer ‘out of hours’ but not actually be there! Avoid at all costs!!

I can only say positive things about my recent rental at Sixt Inverness Airport (19-21 Nov 21). Yes, they are not located at the airport but the shuttle is very short and they are frequent. Ring them if needed. I got the car within minutes and got upgraded to newer and good car.I appreciate they are open during the weekend, till 6pm.The staff are friendly and professional. Recommended!

I rented a compact, VW Golf from SIXT Inverness Airport (INV) in early March 2023. The office is quite distant from the airport terminal and also from the airport train station. Visitors should be prepared to call SIXT office upon arrival, and get picked up by a van.The staff on shift that day at SIXT INV were all very friendly and helpful.If customers do their research in advance, make an online reservation, and make up their mind in advance about how to handle extra options and insurance coverage, the chek-in process can go even smoother.My vehicle was satisfactory and it performed decently throughout the day.I returned my vehicle right at the moment when the staff were wrapping up and punching out for the day. But one staff member kindly provided me a ride to the airport train station even though, technically, they were off the clock by then.Thank you very much, SIXT Inverness.If I ever come back to Inverness, I'm choosing SIXT again without thinking twice.

Pleasant efficient staff. Truly awful company. Would avoid at all costs. I collected a car which had extensive superficial damage. This was marked on the pre rental form which I completed and I took photographic evidence of. On return, one scratch was suggested as new. I showed the photo to the staff who was happy it was suitable evidence, that would need submitting. I have just received an £800 bill for “repairs” as photographic evidence is not adequate. An absolute sham.

Fantastic staff, but all their efforts, ruined by a policy which dictates that if a vehicle is collected after the advertised closing time, a heavy excess charge is made, which isn’t mentioned anywhere prior to the rental. Apparently, the Sunday evening, EasyJet flight is often late, resulting in similar vehicle collection problems for many people. In the end, we had to collect our vehicle the following morning, resulting in an expensive hotel stay.
