I tried the dinner set for 2, it’s a good deal! The sashimi was fresh while the fried things were crispy. Food was as good.

Simple, classic, affordable sushi on Main Street. I have eaten here often over the years and am always happy. Full menu, friendly staff, clean, chill vibes. I enjoy that they bring you your own thermos of green tea so you can serve yourself.

Warm evening so decided to try out the patio here. Dog friendly. Yummy sushi. Fresh oysters. Perfect evening out.

Friendly owner, Louis, remembered us after 1.5 years. Prices have gone up, but food portions are large. The sashimi was a tad mushy, but overall the food was as good as usual.

Went to this resto coz it was conveniently located to our appointment. The place needs an overhaul, pictures will show. We wanted to transfer to a different resto but it is too cold to walk out in the snow. We ordered soup, it was ok, we liked that is was served steaming hot. The noodles was ok. They gave us a thermos of tea and the cover looks dirty. All the utensils are disposable.

Love this place!!! I’d leave Vancouver if I couldn’t eat here anymore. The beef tataki is the best in town hands down. Mushroom karaage just delicious. Pitches of beer ice cold at a low cost. The owner and staff always welcome me with a smile. One of Vancouver best Japanese/sushi restaurants at an affordable price.

Always happy to support this great neighborhood business, I've been coming for years and have never been disappointed. The outstanding food and service is the reason to return again and again.

I am new to the neighborhood and am trying out different restaurants on Main St. Despite the reviews I decided to give this a go... No one acknowledged me when I entered the restaurant even though it was empty. After some frustration I announced myself to the chef that was staring at me. Asked if somebody can help seat me or with service. He looks very confused by this request and eventually had somebody come and help me. The restaurant smelled like an ashtray. I'm not sure if they smoke after patrons are gone for the evening but it stinks. This restaurant is definitely not for me.

I like the food because the taste is good and acceptable price but I don’t like the service. The server always came to my table to look on the dish, I don’t understand why?? Maybe I ate too slow. This set cost 13.xx$ I couldn’t remember it well and not included the recycle plate which is .30$ it’s a set of 20 pieces of sushi including miso soup and salad.Overall is good except service.

The price doesn't match the quality or the quantity of the food. Portions are way too small and the ingredients are not very high quality. Perhaps the price is because of the location? The owners are very friendly and provide great service.I would've given this place 4 or 5 stars if the portions were bigger. If you're going to charge almost $17 for a chicken teriyaki don, at least make it filling. Also, if you're going to charge almost 8 dollars for a basic salmon avocado roll, make the roll bigger!I understand inflation is driving up costs but at least add a bit more value with either the quality or the quantity of food.
