Fishman Wharf Seafood Restaurant
This was quite the experience! My wife and I had been wanting to go here since we first saw it on one of the many YouTube food channels (Strictly Dumpling for the win!). It did not disappoint. They showed us the lobster that we would consume before it hit the pot. I definitely suggest going with at least a minimum of 5 people as it’s fairly large portions and it’ll help share the load of the costly meal but the experience is worth it!

Delicious lobster - but don’t expect fantastic service here. They put out the desserts before we were even finished with our meal.The stirfrys were well balanced and portions were great. The fish and crab had great flavour. Most importantly the lobster was also great. If you want a more cheaper and authentic experience than Fishman’s Club house, pick this restaurant!

We entered the restaurant when it was empty and they sat us at a table next to a thermostat that would beep every 5 minutes. Already a bit annoyed, we then tried to order 3 or 4 different items on their menu but they were all out of stock. After a while, we finally managed to find something we wanted and that they could serve. The food started great, I really enjoyed the soup. But then, the next few dishes were just deep fried and the flavours were lacking. The rib and the oyster moreover tasted a bit off, especially the oyster, it didn't taste right for me. Furthermore, through out the meal, some waiters would just be on their phone or eating behind the counter which was a bit special. I do have to give credits to some of the other waiters who were really professional and efficient. One of them noticed when I dropped my chopsticks by accident and instantly brought a pair for change. Then again, they weren't really welcoming nor friendly. The presentation is a bit different and doesn't make the food look too appealing except the fried rice and the lobster that was more intriguing and enjoyable. All the oil from the food definitely made me feel a bit unwell after a couple of bites. Finally, the prices are certainly not cheap but the portions are rather large which makes up for it. I don't know if it was because we ordered the wrong items or if it was an off day, but I hope I will get to enjoy a better experience the next time I try eating here again.

Food tasted ok. The fish and lobster were fresh. But they did the lobster a bit dry to me.Service is ok!Overall 4/5 imo

Got to try the lobster mountain, the best lobster I ever had!I come all the way from US New Jersey to try this restaurant, because it’s very popular among Chinese. The seafood packages have good price, you can have mixture of different popular seafood for a reasonable price. I tried the package with lobster mountain, stream crab with wine sauce, and stream fish. They show us the seafood first, so we know it’s fresh. I am happy with every dish, they are all super fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to come back and eat here again!

We have never been here before but drove by many times over the years. Decided to take my picky mother here for her birthday and she was happy overall!All dishes were good except for the oysters and the eel. The oyaters were very hard and we had trouble chewing it. My mom only ate half because she thought it might break her dentures. The eel were tiny slivers and didn't have many pieces. All other dishes were very good especially the lobster.

The AC is too strong. Feel extreme cold inside the restaurant and the dishes get cold very soon. Food is ok but some of the dishes with chilli paste are cooked with too much salt/paste. Portion is big.

If your in Markham and are looking to have some king crab, this restaurant probably came as the first recommended on google. Like many have complained, expect to pay more then the price that is advertised as the king crabs usually always way more then the 6 lbs on the menu. Price aside, the seafood is very good and the lobster with maggie sauce is a great dish and a must try if your there. The service was also good, as expected. I do recommend calling ahead and reserving as the place does get packed.
